Liberty Subaru’s internet sales manager Dan Meola made my 2014 BRZ purchase as easy as possible. After researching dealerships in the NYC area, I found that all of them had overwhelmingly bad customer review 2014 BRZ purchase as easy as possible. After researching dealerships in the NYC area, I found that all of them had overwhelmingly bad customer reviews and reputations. So I looked for dealerships further out and found Liberty Subaru who had much happier customers. Liberty also had the most selection of BRZ’s in their inventory. Using Liberty’s inventory website I submitted an inquiry for an internet quote on a WR Blue BRZ. Dan responded, quickly, offering me a great discount off of MSRP that other area dealers would not beat. So the next day, I pulled the trigger to purchase the car. from Liberty Dan answered all my email and phone questions over the next few days. The only fees they charge are a $295 doc fee and a required NJ state tire fee $7.50. That’s it! I had already found my own financing and had no trade-in, so a week later, I was picking up my new car at Liberty’s lot. Dan gave me time to inspect it and to answer all my questions and concerns. The car was flawless, even after being in the showroom, where scratches and dents can occur. He said they had detailed it for delivery - Nice! I definitely recommend Liberty Subaru and Dan for all your Subaru purchases. More
This is my third Subaru purchase. The previous dealer that I worked with was not consumer friendly. I had a great experience with Daniel "DJ" Meola and the rest of the staff over at Liberty. I first contacted the dealership via email, to inquire whether they could beat another offer I had for a and the rest of the staff over at Liberty. I first contacted the dealership via email, to inquire whether they could beat another offer I had for a '13 BRZ. DJ responded to me with a very competitive price, and within a few days, I visited the dealership and signed all my papers. The transaction could not be smoother. Although he informed me about additional services such as the warranty and wheel insurance, at no point did I feel like he was trying to hard sell me on these add-ons. I also got a good deal on my trade-in. Additionally, even though the estimated wait for my BRZ was initially 2 months, my car was actually ready in about 4 weeks. I would highly recommend Liberty to anyone in the NJ area looking to purchase a Subaru. In fact, after I brought my BRZ home, my roommate purchased a WRX from Liberty that same week. More

I dealt with Steve through e-mail only, after I initiated an internet price request from their dealer inventory. The price quoted was hundreds below invoice for a leftover 2013 model year, but that’s where an internet price request from their dealer inventory. Upon inquiry, as well as quotes from nearby dealers, the price Steve had given me was non-negotiable. Not a big deal, considering it was a fair quote to begin with. As a result, I decided I wanted to take a further look at the vehicle in person, but decided I would do most of the negotiation via e-mail since I was hours away from the dealership. When inquiring about my trade-in, I was quoted a price thousands below popular sites such as KBB, Edmunds, and NADA. Upon further conversation, I was told they base their prices off of a black book pricing site called Galves. For $5 I was able to look up the price of my car (something I highly recommend you consider), the same price Steve had presumably looked at himself. What I discovered was Steve had quoted me $6,000 below the fair market value for my car! No wonder they were able to provide me with a price quote of hundreds below invoice, as they were prepared to make up the difference 10 fold on my trade-in. When I brought this to Steve’s attention he chose to ignore me; truly a professional move. Looking at their pre-owned inventory online, filled with vehicles presumably acquired on a trade-in, I discovered prices on average of $5,000 above the Galves price book value for vehicles similar to my own. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do not have a problem with this mark-up, as they are in the business of dealing cars, however, to quote me $6,000 below the Galves value is an insult. That puts their profit margin at over 100% if they were to successfully sell my trade-in for list. To each their own, but I would avoid this dealer at all costs, especially if you have a trade-in. Steve is an amateur con artist, and I cannot imagine he is in the minority at Liberty Subaru. More
