Overcharges on mainenance Took my 2016 Jeep Wrangler in for it's 30k oil change. The service tech (DD) suggested I do the 30k maintenance. I agreed (my dumb mistake). Almost $1 Took my 2016 Jeep Wrangler in for it's 30k oil change. The service tech (DD) suggested I do the 30k maintenance. I agreed (my dumb mistake). Almost $1,200. In reviewing the invoice I noticed several up charges, for one Aerosol Brake Cleaner Part no: 68065196AA. Which sells for on the internet for $5.99. My total charge for Brake Cleaner was $174.05. Just a little bit of price gouging. I called several Dodge dealers in the area. I told them the invoice price and they were shocked, All the dealerships said $500 to $600 for a 30k. One dealership said they don't recommend the 30k because it is not needed. The official Mopar Website even list the 30K as Inspect transfer case fluid, Replace engine air cleaner filter, Replace air conditioning/cabin air filter. Change front and rear axle fluid if using your vehicle for police, taxi, fleet, off-road or frequent trailer towing. I was never asked if I used my vehicle for police, taxi, fleet, off-road or frequent trailer towing. Nothing about all the other maintenance they said needed to be done. I understand needing to make a profit but blatantly over charging customers is disgusting. More
