OUR HISTORY
Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees.
TODAY
Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States.
We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions.
We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. In addition to the employment opportunities we provide in each of our neighborhoods, we also provide contributions to charitable organizations that serve our families, friends, and customers.

First off, my husband and I got greeted by Matt, but everyone else greeted with a smile and I had a wonderful experience with Lithia Hyundai of Reno. First off, my husband and I got greeted by Matt, but everyone else greeted with a smile and had the door open and ready for us to walk into the dealership. Matt was awesome in helping us find the perfect car for our family of 4. Also, JJ was very helpful and offered to explain how to use BlueLink with my car. All in all, I really appreciate how nice and friendly the staff is at Lithia Hyundai, and would definitely recommend them for anyone's future auto purchases/needs. More

Excellent customer service I dreaded even the thought of going to a car lot and dealing with salespeople. The transmission went out in my car so I knew I had to get another vehi I dreaded even the thought of going to a car lot and dealing with salespeople. The transmission went out in my car so I knew I had to get another vehicle soon. My daughter told me to go see Dustin at Lithia. Dustin and Ali were so amazing, I still cannot believe I got a 2014 Hyundai Accent with low mileage, a 10 year 120,000 bumper to bumper warranty, with very little down and my monthly payments are 50.00 a month LESS (yes, less) than my max I was able to pay. I cannot thank Dustin, Ali, Mr. Wolpe and Lithia for everything they did to make my vehicle purchase the easiest, stress free experience I've ever had in purchasing a vehicle. Thank you all again.
