We had brought our Ford Ranger in for repairs because it was running very rough. They saw that some lines were leaking, so they ran diagnostic tests, and decided that certain things needed to be completed, was running very rough. They saw that some lines were leaking, so they ran diagnostic tests, and decided that certain things needed to be completed, which they did (which involved bringing in an extended warranty company rep from Wichita to get permission for the repairs).. Unfortunately, their diagnostics were not done properly or completely, because the truck still ran poorly right after leaving their lot. The truck was brought back, and all that they found, supposedly after running another diagnostic, was that the spark plugs were dirty and the fuel system needed to be drained. They specifically stated that there were no mechanical problems, just maintenance issues. When they told us it would cost close to $600 for the service and maintenance, after we had just paid close over $400 for the previous repairs that they had done, we hesitated and decided not to have the work done there. I took the truck to another dealer closer to our home, and they just had to look under the hood and remove some covers to realize that something was seriously wrong. Of course the extended warranty company required another computer diagnostic before they would approve any work, and so we had to pay for another diagnosis AND to pay for a separate deductible. Our new dealer did the required diagnostic and discovered that the gasket and values had needed to be replaced. IF Long-McArthur had done their diagnostics correctly in the first place, we wouldn't have had to pay extra deductibles and extra diagnostic charges. More

We just purchased our third vehicle from Long Macarthur in the past 4-5 years. The experience has always been pleasant and speedy. If the numbers can't be reached, I keep looking. Ryan and Rob Murphy have always worked their tails off to reach my numbers. Purchasing a vehicle from Long Macarthur is painless. The people are extremely helpful and friendly and I would not even consider purchasing from another dealership without giving Long Macarthur first shot to meet my needs. My fiancé and I went in to look at used vehicles. We honestly did not want a ford because we have both had terrible luck with the 6 we have owned between the 2 of us. We told Keith we did not really want another ford but he sold us on another ford with bragging up the warranty and that we would be covered. I have bought my last 3 vehicles and now 4th through Long McArthur because of the friendly atmosphere and wonderful people. I know it sounds crazy to go to a ford dealership looking for anything but a ford but I just really enjoy the people that work there and we Love our new to us used Ford. Thanks a bunch! More
After a really bad experience with a Ford Dealership in Junction City Kansas, we decided to get away from the Fort Riley area on our search for a replacement for our current car. We looked online at Long McArthurs inventory of used vehicles, which was great I might add, and found one that we were interested in. We scheduled an appointment and came to see the car. When we arrived we were introduced to Scott Sitton, our salesman. From that moment our experience was nothing short of great. The car was in out of the weather waiting for us. All of the details were explained, reports shown in their entirety, and friendly service from start to finish. At the end of the day we understand that everybody has bills to pay and needs to eat but at Long McArthur you would have never known that.
