We were extremely annoyed, THE DAY AFTER WE BOUGHT OUR TRUCK to be told by the dealership in Sterling, where we have purchased vehicles for the last 20 years, that they were unable to work on the make and TRUCK to be told by the dealership in Sterling, where we have purchased vehicles for the last 20 years, that they were unable to work on the make and model we bought because they didn't have the expertise and that we would have to take it to either the quad cities or Rockford. We chose Rockford and are ever so grateful that we did. The feeling we got as we were "making a deal" that "the deal" was not the best possible deal for the consumer. We had one "deal" written up and then my husband showed them a discount that was promised on deal" was not the best possible deal for the consumer. We had one "deal" written up and then my husband showed them a discount that was promised on line. They took the paper back to the boss, redid numbers, but did not appear that it cut as much from the price as it should have. When they are working a "deal" it would be nice to hear the discussions with explanation of what they are doing on the "deal". I know businesses need to make money to keep operating, but being honest and giving the best possible to the consumer with consumer understanding will bring more success. The deal did work out in the end and we were very satisfied with the service and the purchase. More
