Even when we found other aspects of the purchasing process irksome, we were really happy to be working with Jake. We decided to finance through our bank, and even with funding documents in hand it took a week to get the car. There were a couple of miscommunications and extra delays during this time, and the management was quick to let us know it was A. Our bank, and B. Our salesperson’s inexperience. We would have liked to see the management have our salesperson’s back when he was learning how to work with outside financing, instead of using it as a teaching moment in front of customers. Perhaps an excellent opportunity for team-building training? All in all, a good experience. We were surprised that using outside financing caused such a delay, but working with Jake was great and he made it overall very fun to buy a car. Last note— this one for Hyundai— I really wish you offered a black interior with the blue Sonata. You really should offer it with every color of car! More

They will refuse to fix your car and attempt to extort you Marco admitted he was going to potentially pay a lender "under the table" to get me a loan. Isn't that illegal? You want me to buy a new car, because Marco admitted he was going to potentially pay a lender "under the table" to get me a loan. Isn't that illegal? You want me to buy a new car, because you can't fix mine, refuse to offer me a fair trade price because you can't fix mine, and then admit to being willing to do at the very least exceedingly unethical things, if not entirely illegal things to bribe a lender into giving me a loan? Really?!? This is the THIRD vehicle I bought from you, the first of which I traded after 3 months because it was so awful and took a $3000 loss on just to get out of it, but was desperate. Apparently preying on desperate people is an acceptable business practice at Luther dealerships. No wonder used car salespeople have such a bad reputation. I'm astonished because I was under the mistaken impression I had finally found an ethical dealer. Apparently that's not the case. I purchased the vehicle BRAND NEW. I have taken great pains to perform every and all services required and even made sure to use the lowest mileage recommended between oil changes and NEVER missed a service. UPDATE 3: They blocked me from posting on their page because, apparently, they don't want people to know how they ACTUALLY TREAT YOU ONCE YOU BUY A CAR. Here, let me post it as a comment then instead. I hate asking people to share things, but, again, Hyundai is refusing to do anything and keeps putting me off, so if you are willing, PLEASE SHARE AND GET ANYONE AND EVERYONE YOU CAN TO SHARE. The only way this will be rectified is if Hyundai is shamed into doing the right thing because the are completely ignoring the problem. Oh, and apparently I was wrong, apparently they did replace the spark plugs but they were “improperly torqued”. I’m not a mechanic, so I’m not positive what that means, but a little bit of googling told me that means they SCREWED UP a service I PAID THEM TO DO PROPERLY and I drove another 20k miles on it before they caught it after bringing it in multiple times. After which they assured me that would fix my problems….and it didn’t. If I wanted to have my engine screwed up, I’d try to work on it myself, but I would expect a Hyundai Dealer to know how to fix a Hyundai. The problems getting progressively worse. Not only that “Steve” the new “service manager” expected me to bring it back in, again, after they haven’t fixed it for 20 THOUSAND MILES and trip, after trip, after trip into the service department. Shame on you Luther Hyundai. I informed him I’m done dealing with this xxxx car and the ONLY resolution I will accept at this point is a replacement car that works. He informed me that there were no notes indicating that they could replicate the problem, even though Andrew Parr told me that they HAD replicated the problem, and STILL couldn’t figure out how to fix it. I will keep posting this and getting everyone and anyone I can to post this to your page and comments until this is resolved. UPDATE 2: Hyundai corporate promised they would call Friday with info, and called to say they had no info, then promised to call Monday, and didn't call AT ALL. They are completely ignoring this problem hoping it goes away, while yesterday, not only was it losing power again, it nearly died sitting at at stoplight while idling. This is so far beyond unacceptable. ALSO Luther Burnsville Hyundai was supposed to call me with an update and/or resolution for the engine issues Monday August 20th. It is currently Tuesday August 28th, and they still have not called or made any attempt to rectify the situation. UPDATE: They said they would have more information for me on Friday, then called on Friday to tell me they don't have more information and to continue to wait. I honestly am afraid to drive the car with the kids in it. I could give a xxxx if I get into an accident by myself, but my kids lives should not have to be put in jeopardy because they refuse to lemon the car and can't or won't fix it simply in an attempt to force me to buy another vehicle. Original post: I don't normally ask for this, but please share this as I'm at my wits end and the only way this is going to be resolved is if enough people put pressure on Hyundai to do the right thing and swap out the car because they can't seem to figure out how to fix it. I called on Monday July 9th after having had to bring my car in approximately 8 times for the same issue in the past year and it STILL isn't fixed. I was assured I would receive a call from a "manager" in the next 3-5 business days. I never received a call. I just called again and they said "oh, they closed the case and it didn't say anything in the notes about your problems". Now I am expected to wait another 3-5 business days to receive a call back when I never received a call back the first time. The first 2 times I brought it in they couldn't even replicate the issue because it is an intermittent starting issue and intermittent power loss while driving. Once they finally were able to replicate the issue, they started replacing parts, and every time assured me "we found the problem" and that it was fixed, and inevitably within weeks it would start happening all over again. Either the last time or time before (I can't even keep track anymore) that I brought it in, they told me they realized they forgot to replace the spark plugs when I had the FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR "tune-up". I paid them to do work they didn't do, and then ended up running the car for another 20 thousand miles on spark plugs that should have been replaced. Now they keep pushing back when they are going to have an answer for me. The last time I came in, they tried to coerce me into buying a different car so I wouldn't have to deal with the engine problems I'm having, AND THEN told me they would only offer me $8000 in trade because of the dents and couldn't offer me more because of the engine problems. The engine problems THEY EITHER CAN'T OR WON'T FIX. I was assured they would have an answer for me last friday morning and at the end of the day I received a text informing me that it would be Monday morning. I have purchased numerous Hyundai vehicles and have always been happy with them, but I am LIVID at the company for trying to persuade me into purchasing a car I don't want simply to not have to deal with engine problems they haven't fixed. First they tell me how reliable the vehicles are, then the sales manager starts giving me a verbal list of the things that will probably go wrong soon and "wouldn't it be nice to have a newer car with the bumper to bumper warranty" and the sales lady was trying to convince me to buy it by telling me how "cool" I would look in the "xxxx ride" they wanted to sell me. I have less than 2.5 years left on my loan, and they are trying to convince me it makes more sense to pay the same car payment on a car with 45k miles on it on an 84 month loan... Really? How does that make any sense? I have never had a worse experience with a car or dealer in my life and I have purchased 3 vehicles from the Burnsville Hyundai dealer alone. If my car had started having this issue 8 months sooner, it would have qualified for LEMON LAW. I was nearly in a car accident the other day because it lost power while I was turning right. I am afraid to even drive the car now and I have no other option. I'm basically risking my life and my children's lives every time we are in the car, and Hyundai doesn't want to fix it, they want to pressure me into buying a new car. Why would I buy another car if you can't or won't fix the one I have that is still under warranty? — at Luther Burnsville Hyundai. More

I found out she had the only Ioniq left in the state with all the features and color combos I wanted. She was prompt to reply to my online (Truecar request) and get the car setup the same day. She didn’t have to do much selling, since I knew I wanted. When I asked about leasing it, she went out of her way to find the rebate info that wasn’t posted and got me a great deal. It was my first dealership purchase/lease, and it was great that they did so much of the dirty work for me. Barry in finance was easy to work with and got me set up with the best deal for my needs. Never did I feel pressure to buy any further coverages or to put money down. Overall, it was a pretty effortless experience, aside from the drive. Took away one star for something that is more my fault than theirs - they didn’t tell me I would need any insurance info before driving off the lot. I should have expected it, but new car buying brain almost made it so I drove away with my family empty handed. They also didn’t know the car details insanely well, but it’s not a staple model so I can’t blame them. Overall, I give them an A More
