We’re sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your recent experience. We understand delays can be frustrating, and we did communicate throughout the process while working to provide the safest and most appropriate repair option for your MINI. The tire requested for your vehicle was a matching OEM MINI-approved tire with the correct specifications and speed rating recommended by the manufacturer. While another shop may have been able to source a non-OEM alternative more quickly, we follow MINI guidelines to ensure the proper tires and parts are installed for the safety, handling, and performance of the vehicle. We also offered an alternative OEM-approved tire option that was available sooner, but you made the decision to wait for the matching tire. Unfortunately, our supplier experienced an unexpected delay in delivering the tire, which was outside of our control. During that time, we provided a complimentary loaner vehicle and our service advisor remained in communication throughout the process, including multiple apologies for the inconvenience caused by the delay. Regarding the concern at pickup, our team addressed the issue immediately and resolved it within minutes. We always strive to provide professional, transparent, and courteous service. We’re sorry to hear you’re frustrated with your experience. MINI does provide extended coverage for footwell modules for up to 15 years or 186,000 miles, which reflects the brand’s commitment to supporting its customers. When a footwell module fails due to a covered defect, repairs are eligible under MINI’s warranty guidelines. In this case, our technicians determined the issue was caused by outside influence rather than a defect in the module itself, which unfortunately made it ineligible for warranty coverage under MINI policy. We understand this can be disappointing, and we’re always happy to review concerns and discuss findings in greater detail with our customers.
