I asked to check out the front suspension since well over 100k. Had a flat (slow leak) oil change, rotation. The dealership got my truck in and completed all work to my satisfaction. I had two additional maintenance items, besides the oil change/tire rotation. Total time was 2 hours 15 minutes. Service Disappointment I arrived at the Quick Lane service department at 12:15 for a 1:00 appointment for a routine The Works diesel package and tire rotation. I sat down and started catching up on em service department at 12:15 for a 1:00 appointment for a routine The Works diesel package and tire rotation. I sat down and started catching up on emails. At 2:00 I looked out at the parking lot—my truck hadn’t moved. I ask the service manager what was going on. He told me as soon as a bay opened my truck would be serviced. I was finally called to the check out at 4:15. I asked the service manager what could I do to make my next experience better. His answer—we were busy and beyond his control. He was insolent and churlish. Luckily, two ladies can to me with suggestions on how to make the next visit better. They removed the charge for the oil change from my invoice and gave me a coupon for a free oil change. I finally left the dealership at 4:35. Early that evening I received an automated text saying if I couldn’t rate my experience the best I should call the service manager. I chose not to call him and posted this critique on FB. These are difficult times for all of us. It’s hard to be positive when visiting a gas station or grocery store. I’m sure the service area gets its share of rude customers. But, there is no need to be dismissive and rude when dealing with customers. More
