MECHANICS ARE UNTRAINED/NO QUALITY CONTROL I had to bring my car in on four separate occasions for the same issue due to the fact that the "mechanics" didn't notice their error on the first go I had to bring my car in on four separate occasions for the same issue due to the fact that the "mechanics" didn't notice their error on the first go 'round. They had connected some hoses incorrectly and didn't notice that error until the fourth visit. It was suggested to me that there was a larger issue, or that perhaps I should get a quote for my car so that I could have it for a trade-in. Turns out I didn't need a new car, just a new mechanic. I will definitely find one. The service coordinators on the inside of the building went out of their way to help. This issue is not about customer service, it is about having poorly trained technicians in the shop who don't know what they are doing. Clearly, the issue goes from there all the way to the top of the chain because it took 4 visits to rectify the issue. More
Second time worked My car was making a loud sound. This was the second time that I had to come in for the same problem. The first time the Toyota tech said it was due t My car was making a loud sound. This was the second time that I had to come in for the same problem. The first time the Toyota tech said it was due to the tires and that they needed to be replaced. However, after replacing them the sound was still there. So Steve got someone to test drive my car with me so I could show them the issue. It turned out to be because of the bearing. Toyota didn't have the part in stock to fix my car. So I left it over night. The part came the next morning and my car was fix before noon. Steve had excellent customer service. He was very friendly and easy to communicate with throughout the whole second process. More
Quick, but questionable I took my '17 Tacoma in for its 10K mile service (oil, rotate tires, top off fluids), which is free under the Toyota Care program. The service adviser I took my '17 Tacoma in for its 10K mile service (oil, rotate tires, top off fluids), which is free under the Toyota Care program. The service adviser seemed a bit annoyed while checking me in because there was some type of name mix up on the Toyota Care account and she needed "management" approval to correct it. While checking out, about an hour later, my adviser mentioned that she did take care of the name mix up. Thanks. A day or two after the service I happen to check the tire pressure (via HUD screen/TPMS) and all tires were set about 8-10 psi too high. I confirmed the TPMS reading with a manual gauge while airing down to the Toyota recommended 30 psi (cold). Not a huge deal, but I'm glad I noticed it before much longer. Having tires set too high, or too low, can prematurely wear them out. It can also adversely affect ride comfort, grip, road noise, etc. This reminds me that I should check my oil now. Hopefully that's not overfilled, too. More

This was my first time having my car serviced at Maita (I’ve always gone to Roseville Toyota—no special reason except that’s where I bought the car). My service person, “Marlon” was very friendly, energetic, accommodating. He had excellent communication skills and “follow through” on everything he said he would do (he contacted me before I ever needed to call back or follow up). Although taking the car for servicing is an odious task for me, it was as pleasant and convenient as it could’ve been. ;P More
