DO NOT USE MALL OF GA FORD UNLESS YOU WANT A xxx OR TO DIE!! My husband and I found a cute 2015 Dodge Dart with low miles at Mall of GA Ford. We negotiated the price via text with a lady named Denisa and DIE!! My husband and I found a cute 2015 Dodge Dart with low miles at Mall of GA Ford. We negotiated the price via text with a lady named Denisa and confirmed a time we could come test drive. This dealership is about 45 minutes away and with gas $4/gallon, we didnt want to waste our time. When we arrived, we were met by a salesman named Derrick who had little personality but whatever, we weren't there for Derrick, we were there for a car. Derrick let us drive the vehicle and we loved it. We thought it would make a great first time vehicle for our 17 year old. When discussing pricing with Derrick, he told us he couldn't honor Denise's pricing, and all that is is a robot salesperson who says whatever to get you in the door (RED FLAG NUMBER 1). We got the price down about $500 because we really wanted this car. The next day, we drove to the dealership to pick up the car with financing approval from our local bank. They let us drive away with the car and said we'd have to bring a check back. Fine. On my way home, within 30 minutes, my brakes went completely out on the car! I almost killed me, my daughter and my son! I stopped at a local mechanics shop to find out that when the dealership replaced the brakes, they didn't connect the lines back correctly so it was spewing brake fluid. I immediately texted Derrick who told me they would fix it. So I used my personal AAA tows to tow the vehicle back to the dealership. Not once did they offer to help out with this. Guess it was my problem not there's? (RED FLAG NUMBER 2). The following day, we receive an email from our bank that the dealership screwed up our paperwork and they couldn't cut a check without correction. Back to Derrick. Lovely Derrick told us we would need to drive BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP to resign documents. When expressing how inconvenient this was, my husband was informed (paraphrased) it didnt matter if we came back or not, if we dont buy, they'll sell it at auction! (Who says that!?!?) (RED FLAG NUMBER 3!) That's when I got management involved. I explained all of the above and how big of a waste of time and gas it was to drive back and forth. I should have said 3 strikes your out, but I really wanted this car and justified bad service as not the cars fault. Management was able to email me the documents to sign and we were in business. The following day we went to pick up the vehicle and drive it home. It was almost closing time and we already drove it so we felt confident it was fixed. Sign on the dotted line and drive off. Kevin, one of the managers did meet us to shake our hand and apologize, so that was nice. Then came RED FLAG NUMBER 4.... On the way home we stopped at Applebee's about a mile away. I kept smelling clutch but thought maybe its just residual from no brake fluid (clutches use brake fluid if you didn't know) or maybe it was from someone at the dealership not knowing how to drive one when moving it around. It definitely didn't stink when we test drove it. So we came home. And here we are. 2 days after picking up the vehicle, I have a paper weight in my driveway. The clutch is gone. We pulled it out in the road at 4k RPMs in Reverse and my husband had to push it back down the driveway. I dont even want to call the dealership at this point. I did text Derrick but I guess he got his commission so he doesnt care. I'm so angry at myself for not paying attention to the flags. I should have known from the faulty brake line this company was trash. I thought a big name was a good thing versus a private seller or a mom and pops auto sales place. They could have killed my family with faulty work or stranded one of us by selling us a faulty car! I hope my post gets read and spread by as many people as possible and I hope you stay away from this dealership, for the sake of your family's lives and their safety. Obviously they are only concerned with a dollar. Which is sad, what ever happened to honesty and ethics in the business world? :( More
