Dealership did the bare minimum when they sold me this car and even left out some very important information before, during, and after the sale. They never told me it would take 2 weeks after closing the car and even left out some very important information before, during, and after the sale. They never told me it would take 2 weeks after closing the deal before I could come pick up the car. They knew this because, as it was explained to me, there have been instances where people have driven off with the car and the bank ended up not funding the deal. Ok, so why did you not tell me this from the outset? I told the salesman (Shawn) I would be transferring a plate. He said ok and had me send a picture of the plate. Great, I’m thinking. I ask when I can take off the temporary and put my plate on. I was told “well, our titling person will call you and then after they call you you will need to go to the DMV.” I’m thinking, why on earth do I need to go to the DMV? The plate transfer should just be done with the rest of the paperwork. Whatever. 2 weeks later I never got a call and received another plate in the mail that is not the same as the one I have. “What on earth is this?” Now I know that to transfer a plate in Florida it costs us almost $100. So I tell the customer service rep “hey, can you guys take care of this?” And she says “we’ll cover half as a courtesy.” Are you serious? As a courtesy? I already had to pay a tag transfer fee I go to the car. So you guys screwed up and I have to pay again?? Get out of here! Anyways, I go to the DMV and find out that my old plate is history, I can’t use it anymore. When I go to pick up the car, Shawn tells me to “please give him a good Ford survey or he might be fired.” I can tell you, this guy deserves to be fired. Coming from a guy who used to sell cars, Shawn really shouldn’t be in this business. He’s awkward and doesn’t communicate. Overall, I would have expected much better from a $64,000 purchase. One more thing,aparently this car came with a protective costing that costs $500. Now this coating reapplication service is apparently not transferrable to another dealership, but I think I was still charged. They said they didn’t charge me, but dealerships always know how to make their money. Car dealerships are the xxxx underbelly of the world, and Mall of Georgia Ford is no different. More
Scheduled service for a warranty repair. Took off work. Had a friend follow me so I could leave the vehicle.
