I'd stay as far away from here as you possibly can. .. my 7 month pregnant fiancé went in to purchase a 2023 Sportage. She put $20k down. They pressured and pushed her into a THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLAR MARK .. my 7 month pregnant fiancé went in to purchase a 2023 Sportage. She put $20k down. They pressured and pushed her into a THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLAR MARKUP, effectively doubling the price of the car. We have tried 3 separate times to voluntarily surrender the vehicle, and now no one will even answer our calls or return our messages - presumably because they are making a small fortune off of her. We have gone in person each time, and have been treated like garbage in every instance. This has been a 5+ month endeavor Buying Manager Mike Gray has a condescending demeanor & lied directly to finance about our interactions, to which the Finance Manager Jose admitted was the case. I would not recommended working with Mike Gray GM David Clark hasn't returned our 5+ voicemails. He has pretended to not be in the office on a day that we, again, tried to surrender the vehicle onsite. I saw him with my own eyes. I would not recommend working with David Clark. Owner Mark Dubowy has not returned our outreach attempts either, and as such we have filed a formal complaint with the Chairman of Kia North America to get this matter resolved. My fiancé & I understand that it is a car dealership's job to sell vehicles and add-ons. It is critical to their bottom line. What is UNETHICAL in this scenario is that we have attempted numerous times to surrender this vehicle at a substantial personal loss , and now no one wants to respond. They took advantage of a pregnant woman with a large cashiers check & are now trying to squeeze it for everything that it's worth. Even if you've looked at every other dealership in the valley, I would recommend you consider purchasing a unicycle as your daily commuter before ever doing business with Mark Kia. Just purchased a 2022 Kia Telluride from DeMarko at Mark KIA in Scottsdale and I have to say it was the most pleasant and straight forward car buying experience I have ever had. I normally abhor the process KIA in Scottsdale and I have to say it was the most pleasant and straight forward car buying experience I have ever had. I normally abhor the process of buying a car: From the slippery sales tactics, to the pressure, to the general feeling of ick that usually accompanies the entire affair. Absolutely NONE of that applied here. DeMarko was upfront, knowledgeable, and very personable. In fact, he was downright friendly. The best part is that it didn't stop there: When it was time to move onto the Finance Dept., Juan R. continued the trend of excellent customer service. He too was very friendly and accommodating. He got me a great rate on my loan and progressed quickly, yet informatively through the mandatory process of offering warranties. Sometimes this can be the worst part of buying a car as one gets bombarded with high pressure add-ons and ill-advised warranty plans. Instead, I was pleased with how streamlined and honest Juan was throughout this process. There were no sneaky hidden "offerings" and absolutely no pressure to purchase the warranty--which I readily did anyways because KIA quite literally has one of the best, if not the best, warranties in the entire industry. I can't state enough how pleasant this entire process was and I will ABSOLUTELY recommend this dealership to everyone who will listen. Five Stars! You guys deserve it! More
