I loved the experience. Had a wonderful service. The service rep guided me well and made appropriate suggestions. The only thing missing is the discounts for regular customers like me. service rep guided me well and made appropriate suggestions. Here’s how my car buying experience went. Positive things are denoted by a (+) and negative things are denoted by a (-) 29 Dec + extended offer to buy via online car buying site 01 Jan + contacted by are denoted by a (+) and negative things are denoted by a (-) 29 Dec + extended offer to buy via online car buying site 01 Jan + contacted by dealer 02 Jan - requested more info from the dealer as several discrepancies were noticed on their online listing (should have been a warning of what was to come) - sales rep (Joshua) unsuccessfully tried to pull the window sticker 04 Jan - contacted them again as they still didn’t counter my original offer - They countered my offer and asked for a deposit as well as asked me to fill out a finance application to see if the could be comparable to my already pre-approved rate through a different bank + provided me a car fax vehicle history 05 Jan - Stated they could approve me for a rate of under 5% but I elected to stay with my current lender - I received a phone call from the sale rep who stated they declined my offer if I banked outside of the dealership but they would accept my offer if I banked through them. (I politely declined) - Anthony (Business manager I presume) called me stated he could get me financed at a rate lower, I declined 09 Jan - Ultimately I came up on my offer one last time to which the dealership agreed - They sent me over a final price with taxes and tag fees - Anthony extended an even lower rate than the previous one that was delivered to my by way of the sales representative, again I declined. I let him know that I would be making an additional monetary deposit in conjunction of the original deposit. + Being a 100% disabled veteran my state exempts me from vehicle taxes on 1 vehicle. I provided Anthony the required documents for said exemptions as well as the phone number, email address, and street address of my tag office/tax assessors off. He then informed me of the final purchase price. 10 Jan - Dealership requested insurance info which I provided as well as having the binder sent to them. Additionally they sent me the first of MANY erroneous purchase agreements. - I notified the sale rep that the purchase agreement was incorrect and they were not the numbers Anthony and I discussed. - I had to call the tag office on a 3-way-call before Anthony would accept my tax exemption forms; a dealership task if you ask me 11 Jan - I had to resend the insurance binder as they did not receive the first one. - I requested current photos as the ones online seemed to show external damage to the front of the car - I had to correct my binder as it did not have the lien holder listed (my first error) 12 Jan - initiated disbursement of the remainder of my down payment (appx. 40% of sales price) - Received an up to date walk around video of the car - Dealer funding form sent to my bank was incomplete (another dealership mistake) 13 Jan - Dealer received the remainder of my down payment - stated they sent new funding request; I confirmed with my bank that was untrue 15 Jan - stated the documents were resent; I confirmed with my bank and once again they were not received 17 Jan - Stated documents were sent again; I confirmed with my bank and it was indeed received 19 Jan - my bank confirmed the title application, routing number, and account number were left off the funding documents - Dealership notified me they wouldn’t accept a wire transfer from my bank; I contacted my bank and they stated the dealership simply needed to write “request paper check” on the form. Why the dealership couldn’t gather that information on their own I don’t know, - Anthony had the audacity to state this could have been avoided and I would have had my car already had I financed with them. This was also false as whatever rinky dink bank they tried to finance me through denied me b/c I live out of state 20 Jan - the documents sent to my bank were once again WRONG 22 Jan - my bank funded the loan and next day mailed to an address provided by the dealer - The check was lost/unclaimed for 4 days 26 Jan - dealership (sales rep Joshua) found the bank funded check at another dealership; It had been there since 23 Jan (another error) 27 Jan - I was contacted by dealership stating they’ve identified an error THEY made (and I failed to see as well) that needed to be corrected before they would send me any documents 29 Jan - due to this error I had to reapply for another $1000 loan before my bank would fund it; I refused to pay the additional $21 as it was a fee that was left off the purchase agreement (yet another mistake); be mindful they already have 99% of monies owed to them in their possession. 30 Jan + Now with the additional $21 causing my sale to be an impasse the sales rep paid it out of pocket. I’m pretty sure by now he was in awe at how much of a gaggle screw this ordeal had become and just wanted the pain to end 02 Feb + final $1000 arrived at the dealership at 10:10 am - I requested to have the documents requiring my signature to be mailed the same day, a request that fell on deaf ears. They’ve had more than two weeks to prepare but still couldn’t manage to send them out the day they received payment from me? A payment they were expecting because I informed them of it beforehand as well as provided them tracking confirmation of its delivery. That’s just a testament at to how this dealership views its customer base, as well as its business practices. This action thereby produced yet another delay in the entire debacle. 4 Feb + received the documents, signed, had them notarized and next day mailed with guaranteed next day deliver before 1000 am b/c the prepaid envelope they sent had the same (no later than 8 pm ) guarantee on it just like the one they initially mailed to me just pathetic. 7 Feb + car finally picked up from dealership by transporter. FINALLY! 9 Feb + finally received my car - arrived needing a service - arrived needing gas - arrived with damage - arrived missing one of the door keys - arrived WITHOUT a temporary tag which they sent in the mail so once again even more days with WITHOUT being able to use the car Let the following be known -If you are an internet buyer their selling process in not streamlined for personnel outside if their local selling radius of NY -If you choose not to finance through the dealerships bank it could possibly take weeks to get your vehicle, WEEKS plural -If you are a veteran that is afforded any exemption in your state you WILL have a hard time purchasing from this dealership #fuccilliolincolnhyundai #betterbusinessbureau #badcustomerservice #worstcarsalesexperienceever #buyerbeware More
