Best Car Buying Experience I've had! I was on the hunt for a very specific Mazda 3 hatchback and found it at Mazda of Elk Grove on Carguru.com. I called the dealership immediately when I I was on the hunt for a very specific Mazda 3 hatchback and found it at Mazda of Elk Grove on Carguru.com. I called the dealership immediately when I found it online to make sure that the car was actually there. I live in Santa Rosa about 100 miles away and wasn't going to make the trip to Elk Grove unless I was serious about purchasing the car. I spoke with Nick Ishihara who was very personable and put me in the hands of Garrett Oxnaes, who was also great, he went out into the lot immediately and to put his hands on the car making sure it was still there. He took several pictures of it and texted them over to me. The price was so good that there was no need to negotiate, even though I tried I understood the value in their pricing from all my research online. This competitive price made this purchase so simple. He worked out several scenarios for financing and was able to fit everything in under budget. I filled out the credit approval online and was able to finance through my own local credit union which was nice. He promised me the car was in excellent condition and I wouldn't be disappointed if I came and picked it up. I made the journey to Elk Grove and was greeted in the parking lot. As soon as I entered the building a welcome sign with my name on it was at the front desk (nice touch). I was greeted by Garret who showed me the restroom, complimentary refreshments and snacks as he new I had been on the road for about 2 hours. He brought me to the car that was completely detailed housed in a special mirrored showroom with a big bow on top (another nice touch). A few forms, looking at all-weather floor mats and a test drive I was sold on the car. I met with Fritz who handled all the financing while Garrett personally installed my new floor mats. I was able to add on a bumper to bumper warranty extension insuring I will not need to worry about my new car for the next 9 years. I was also added to add the service package that will save me about $1500 or so over the next 5 years. All of this only busted my monthly payment budget by about $25 which to me was worth it as I plan on keeping this car for the long term. Garett taught me how to use all of the technology in the car and made sure I had everything I needed. He also welcomed me to call him anytime if I had any questions, he would be there to help. I drove off the lot very happy and enjoyed my 2 hour drive back to Santa Rosa. That night I got a text from Garrett making sure that I made it home okay and safe (another nice touch, very compassionate to their customers) I also received a nice followup email and call from the dealership thanking me for purchasing with them and letting me know that they would be there if I needed anything. I wish I lived closer to the dealership as I would give them all my future business in regards to servicing the car. All of the other dealerships I emailed with or called didn't even come close to the personal experience I had with Mazda of Elk Grove. Thank you all for helping me purchase this beautiful car. Matt quoted me the lowest price of all the dealerships (and without asking a million questions) and was very responsive to all of my questions. Unfortunately, Matt was sick on the day I went in to buy the Mazda CX-5 Touring BUT he made sure I was taken care of by his co-worker Nick Ishihara. Nick greeted us right away (with a huge smile and handshake) and was caught up on what Matt and I had discussed. Nick had the Mazda I wanted washed and ready for me to test drive, was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, and answered all of my questions without hesitation. Nick was professional, friendly, and knew his job well (despite the Mazda dealership being under a remodel and having to work from Nissan). He made sure we did not have to wait more than a few minutes and got the paperwork handled quickly. There were even refreshments for us as we waited which was a nice touch to the experience. The financial paperwork was also a breeze compared to my experience with Roseville Honda a few years ago. After the paperwork was completed, Nick even put a big bow on my car and took a picture for us. He made me feel very special and proud to own my new car. A few days later Nick even sent me a hand-written card and a key chain. Matt and Nick went above and beyond to make my buying experience a positive and memorable one. I highly recommend Mazda of Elk Grove, Matt, Nick, and the Mazda CX-5 to anyone I know! More
