I had so much anxiety going into the process from a not so great car buying experience a few years ago (at a different dealership) but Garrett quickly showed us he was there to help us get the car we wanted and make sure we were happy with the experience. I never felt pressured into getting something I didn’t really want and I never felt like he was overly trying to upsell us just to get a commission. If you are looking for a car I highly recommend Garrett and Mazda of Elk Grove. Not only was Garrett a great person to work with, the rest of the staff was so friendly and helpful. More

He was kind, genuine, attentive and put our needs first. When we arrived at the dealership, he had our car ready to go and, what is usually the most stressful part of car buying, the paperwork process was quick and painless (thanks Vu!) Garrett and his team made us feel part of their Mazda family from the get-go and we will not go elsewhere. I am definitely looking forward to a long relationship with Mazda of Elk Grove. Everyone at Mazda of Elk Grove was very nice and Nick was a standout with his gracious and optimistic personality. About my car.. I love my 3rd Mazda 3! The car I got for the money, Premium AWD gray with white leather, it’s beautiful, classy and makes the higher end entry level competitors bloated in price with the closet coming in at 15K more. I’ve already had 2, I know they’re reliable, low maintenance and fun to drive. At this point I’m a loyalist and will likely buy my 4th in another 5 years.. from Nick! More

Typical car buying experience * but they want to be better!! I’m afraid my experience wasn’t as pleasant as others have reviewed. Debated even leaving a review, but they sent me this link, so...let me preface by I’m afraid my experience wasn’t as pleasant as others have reviewed. Debated even leaving a review, but they sent me this link, so...let me preface by saying I love my 2018 CX-5 I purchased! Also dealt with the service department re:a recall to update-they were very pleasant and professional. We purchased our car on September 1st-we had test driven it the day before so we made an 11:00am appointment to talk numbers and basically purchase. We were there 3 1/2 hours to pay cash for the vehicle. We waited about 2 1/2 hours to spend 22 min in the finance office. (There were 2 people ahead of us and 2 people working finance) Garrett was pleasant enough to deal with, though wouldn’t budge on the price of the car because they were losing money on it. He did offer us a deal since my husband is an educator, 15% off a battery replacement plan. We were not interested. We finally got to Fritz in the finance department. He was professional until we declined the extended warranty 3 times. My husband finally said we were going to gamble that it’s a good car. Fritz replied, and I quote, “Well, if you have the money to gamble with.” Rude and uncalled for-I’m guessing it’s because they said they were losing money and we refused all the “extras” we were offered. The car was also supposed to have navigation on it ( saw that after purchasing) Spoke with Garrett re:that when I was there for the recall. He told me a “due invoice” ( I think that’s what it was called) would have to be done when finance came in. I left before they came in and have heard nothing more about it in two weeks. I will be calling about that. All in all, seemed like a stereotypical car buying experience. Thankful I won’t be doing it again for a long time. More
