I made clear that I was definitely buying, and the response was lackadaisical. The manager then blamed another person when I said I bought from another dealer. Called about getting a Honda CR-V black with black interior. Was told only what I wanted to hear to get my deposit on a car. 2 mins after the call, Kevin Barry sends me a large text where he says its interior. Was told only what I wanted to hear to get my deposit on a car. 2 mins after the call, Kevin Barry sends me a large text where he says its grey interior but sends me a build picture right after that says black cloth interior. After months of waiting we drive an hour to the dealership to find its a grey interior car. At that time he said he thought it was going to be black interior as well but used the previous text to his defense. They have a sheet that shows ETAs of vehicles with colors, make and model. He said he checks the sheet very often so he either didn’t pay attention to color or straight up lied. He didn't keep his word on pricing when we arrived to the dealership as well. More
This was my first experience buying a vehicle from a dealership, bad choice because this place makes me never want to purchase a car from a dealership again! I bought a vehicle here, within two weeks my dealership, bad choice because this place makes me never want to purchase a car from a dealership again! I bought a vehicle here, within two weeks my check engine light came on and I had to get over $1,000 work done. I have had my car for less than six months and I have had over $3,000 worth of problems. In short, I got sold a lemon thinking it has fully inspected by Mcclarty Honda, thanks for screwing me over! Had an appointment at 8:15. Sat in my car for almost an hour before driving off. There were 8 cars in front of me and 7 or 8 cars behind me. Took car in for 60,000 mile service. No problems just the suggested service. Was told cost would be approx $1000.00. When paid charge was $1489.00. No one called to say would be more than I was told. I live a few hours away so all of the commun 12 hours agoNEW Don't waste your time. I found a car here that I wanted to purchase and was turned away. I live a few hours away so all of the communication I had with the dealer was through phone, text and email. On Saturday I contacted the dealer and asked the sales person Whitney Evans all the details on the car. I told her I was interested in coming down that day to purchase and she said someone else was looking at it and she would keep me updated on if it sells. On Monday she calls me and says the car is still available. I told her to let me call my bank and get a check ready to purchase it in the morning. She then tells me she cannot hold any vehicles and she can't control if someone else buys it before I do, even though she wouldn't let me purchase the car Saturday because someone was "looking at it". I then called my bank and went through the whole loan process and waiting to be approved. A few minutes go by and my bank calls me to say they have a check ready for me. As soon as I hang up the phone I got a text from Whitney saying the car sold. It was as if they didn't want to do business with me because I used my own bank. If the dealership could hold the car on Saturday because someone was "looking at it" why could they not have held it for me. I had my credit ran and and money in hand to buy it the next morning. I will never do business here and never recommend it to anyone. More
