Have always given a 5 star rating on service (this is my second Mazda), but seems something has changed since my prior service visit. It normally was taking less than an hour to have the oil changed and tir second Mazda), but seems something has changed since my prior service visit. It normally was taking less than an hour to have the oil changed and tires rotated. The other day it took over two and a half hours. Most of this time was making and sending me a video of the bottom of my car plus a video of the air filter and cabin filter which had been removed. Hope this is not the new norm. More

I usually have my car serviced in town because it’s much closer to where I live. However, recently my check engine light came on while I was driving near Med Center Mazda (where I had purchased my car), so closer to where I live. Despite not having an appointment, the customer service rep (Joey?) quickly diagnosed (at no cost to me) that the problem was likely a weak battery, and I was able to continue on to my destination in good time. Partly out of gratitude, and partly from being impressed by the courtesy, proficiency and expertise of the assistance I had received, I returned the next day to have a new battery installed. That also was performed with courtesy and expeditiously. More

I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation at 11:30am. They didn’t finish until 1:45. I can understand a wait of 1 hour for these services, but not over 2 hours! Additionally, MedCenterMaz at 11:30am. They didn’t finish until 1:45. I can understand a wait of 1 hour for these services, but not over 2 hours! Additionally, MedCenterMazda service department continues to incorrectly rotate tires. My car manual specifically states to cross the rear tires as they are brought to the front. But, Mazda saves time and effort by keeping tires on the same side. Since leaving the service department I’ve also noticed a wobbling sound coming from the front end of my vehicle. It could be from over tightening the lug nuts, which causes warped rotors. Or, it could be due to the incorrect rotation. Regardless, the sound wasn’t there before getting my car serviced at MedCenterMazda. Next time I need my oil changed I’ll do it myself, at my own home, in half the time, for half the price. More
