The way buying a car should be. I hate buying cars. I really do, so when I found myself in the market for one, I cringed. I went to a couple of local dealers and got the run-around I hate buying cars. I really do, so when I found myself in the market for one, I cringed. I went to a couple of local dealers and got the run-around. The typical haggling back and forth, the counter offers, etc. Which only proves that the Dealers don't really listen to you, they simply attempt to steer you where they want you. So, I turned my attention to the internet. I searched a few vehicles, but again was reluctant to inquire on them knowing where it would lead. My parameters where vehicles within 100 miles of me. Somehow, Zeck Ford popped up. They are actually 300 miles from me. Call it Divine Intervention, a computer snafu, whatever. I clicked on them. The car I had been searching for stared at me from the page. The sexist TARDIS Blue Mustang Convertible I had ever seen. I knew then, it was a Weeping Angel peering over my shoulder. I hit 'Inquiry' and sent a message about what I was looking to do. My price range, the fact that I was over 4 hrs away, etc. Internet Specialist, Olivia Simmons wrote me back. She asked a couple questions and sent me a form to fill out. I emailed it back and she said everything looked fine, they would have no trouble meeting my requests for the car but before I drove all the way up there, would I mind letting them run my credit and verify. I thought, "Ok, here we go. Now the haggling starts". About a half hour later she calls me and says "Come get your car." I was like, "Seriously?! That's it? No, 'Sorry Mr Phillips, the closest we can get to your desired payment is $100 more than you were expecting'? Nothing! I was at a loss for words. I asked "So, it's a done deal. I'm not gonna get there and you tell me there's a mistake and will be $50 more a month or something?" She said, "The only problem will be if you get here and test drive the car and don't like it"..... Off I went to Kansas. When I got there, she had set me up with Salesman, Steve Courter. He asked for a copy of my license and insurance and sent me off to drive the car. Now, I'm still thinking "They're gonna have me drive this and fall in love with this car and then pull the old switcheroo and tell me how they tried and tried to meet my payment request but if I would just cough up $2,000 down......" So, I get back and of course, I have to have this car. Steve goes through all the paperwork with me. The CarFax, the Dealer Prep Sheet, shows me as much history as they have available on the vehicle. I sign off on all that and we suddenly get into this discussion about New Orleans. One of my favorite cities. He was so nice and personable, I almost forgot I was there to buy a car..... He then sends me back to sign the actual loan papers while he has the car washed and filled with gas. Now Finance Manager Charbel Bichara is a nut. We had the best time talking about all sorts of stuff. It even came up that I hadn't eaten all day because of the pre-prep work from home and the 5 hr drive up. He's offering me his Cheetos, he's got bottles of water, etc. Suoer nice guy. Finance signing has never been so easy. So, I'm sitting there flabbergasted at how easy this whole experience was. I ask him, "Now, you're not gonna call me tomorrow and tell me you made a mistake and I have to bring the car back are you?" He laughed but that actually happened to me once. I bought a car and the next day the Dealer called and told me that they made mistake and I would have to pay more per month than agreed or bring the car back. He assured me that everything was fine. (A little anecdote, he did call me the next day and say, "Remember when U asked me if I was gonna call and want the car back because I made mistake.....? Well, I didn't but I did want to let U know that I'm changing the bank you signed off on to one that's actually closer to you in Oklahoma") So, I spent roughly an hour and a half at home talking on the phone and sending emails. Then after a 5 hr drive to the Dealership, I spent maybe another hour and a half driving the car and signing paperwork. They made it so fun and easy. I highly recommend Zeck Ford. Even if you're hundreds of miles away, it's worth the drive. More

Gavin covered EVERYTHING about my truck from service records to accident reports and even covered in detail what Zeck Ford had done to improve the truck since they recieved it, eliminating any future concerns or surprises. If you want a relaxed and stress free purchase, deal with Gavin. If you prefer to feel pressured and unsure about your purchase, you should probably go someplace else because that won't happen here.
