Update 2/25/26. I received and email from customer service from DM within an hour of this public post with an apology and a picture of the wire damage. No description of the repair. Was told that the dealership does not carry the the tape that Honda sells to help repel rodent chewing, but I could bring the car back in for that service for another $200. A quick Google search indicates Honda is well aware of this wire problem. So still not sure what was done for $1600. Would think that stocking this particular tape might be a good start. To be fair, other makes of cars have the same problem with chewed wires. To all dealerships, please do the right thing for consumers. The cost of new cars, and repairs to older cars continue to rise.
