I wish there was a no star option because this dealership deserves no stars. On 7/8/2020 we were in the process of purchasing a used vehicle for my daughter. She had a good down payment of $3000, for a $8555 deserves no stars. On 7/8/2020 we were in the process of purchasing a used vehicle for my daughter. She had a good down payment of $3000, for a $8555 car. Our salesman was trying to fast talk us but, since I am an accountant and have worked in sales, I typically ignore most saless people and just focus on the numbers. When he brought back a scribbled paper, he claimed he was adding on extras but reducing the price to $1000 for those extras which basically was a little over $1000 off. I was pleased with this but confused why the payment was $172 for 72 months (we asked for a shorter loan so not sure why it was 72 months) with $3000 down so basically over $15,000 for $8555 car. I asked about the interest rate and he said fiance handled this and they would tell us after he is done. After signing some paperwork because he had that ready, he left and I started to calculate how he got to that payment amount since the car was $9555 with the add on, minus the $3000 down payment should make her amount financed around $7555. We tried to find our salesman, Adam, but he was no where to be found so we had him paged and asked another salesman to find him. They couldn't but verified that our interest rate was in the single digits but couldn't tell us what it was and also couldn't confirm if this payment was before the down payment (which would make sense). After finding our salesman, we told him we are no longer interested and wanted the car. He said let me bring you to finance. The finance man (sorry, didn't get his name) was very open and confused why we were so upset. We told him we are getting no information and the payments don't make sense. He showed us every screen and that is when we saw the cash price of the car was $10,500 not $8555 as listed on their site and autotrader. We told him that was not the price and he called a sales manager who never answered or came. Instead our salesman came and I asked him if we could take off the extras and that is when he double talked again and I said we are done. He still tried to claim he was trying to make a deal but I said she wants her money back. The finance guy came in and started to speak but I stopped him and said I don't want to waste your time, we are done. We got her money and left. This is my daughter's first car she is buying on her own. I can only imagine what happens to someone who doesn't understand the process or know where to check for the numbers. These people would have completely ripped her off. The car basically with the down payment would have been almost $15,000 for a used 2015 Ford Focus listed for $8555. This is by the far the worst experience we have ever had. We just bought a car in May from another dealership and had a smooth purchase. A sales manager did contact my daughter, after we left and after saying this is not how they do business he the nerve to ask her if she was still interested in the car! Run very far away from this dealership. Finally, Adam our salesman said the fiance guy did it wrong and should have itemized the extra fees, so, basically, this dealership hides their up charges and steals from their unsuspecting customers. If you have bought from them, please check your paperwork. Increasing a car thousands of dollars is deceptive practices. More
