Total confusion Trying to purchase a new car....and just had one of the worst experiences ever in my 30 years of buying new vehicles. First, the listing price changed by thousands of dollars one day to the next. Even the same car was listed at very different prices on their website AT THE SAME TIME. Second, we were contacted by three different people in their "Business Development Office" and had to ask/answer the same questions over and over again. Then we were contacted by the sales manager, Richie Parcell(?) who said he would have a salesman call, since "those women upstairs in Business Development don't know what they're talking about." The salesman called and we set up an appointment...I did tell him it would be a 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive for us, so I would appreciate a call ahead of time seeing if we could reach a deal. Adam did call back the next day (much appreciated) but the numbers he was talking were so far out of the realm of reality that one, they were undervaluing my trade by 50%, two, they were using 25% interest, or three, they were just being totally dishonest on the prices they advertise. I believe it was probably a combination of all three. It's just sad that buying a car involves playing all these games. I couldn't imagine having a career where my family income is based upon how well I can deceive and cheat my customers. (BTW, I later received another call from someone in the BD office asking how things were going. I told her that I had absolutely no faith in Napleton/Elmhurst Kia and to please not contact us again.)
