New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolets and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1971. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current used department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

I had the pleasure to work with Keith Golembiewski, at New Motors on Peach Street, who was able to help me search and secure a vehicle in short notice. He was communicative and kept me up to date about other possibilities that became available and took me step by step through the process. I was very satisfied with the price and condition of the vehicle I purchased and the guidance that was provided. Keith made sure to fix any issues prior to me picking up the vehicle and even thought of the small things that I may have not have; for example, making sure there were 4 screws on the license plate so it didn’t flap on the wind. He was easy to contact and responds quickly via phone, text, and email. Additionally, he was a very nice person to sit with and have a conversation. As a consumer, the biggest skill I look for in a sales professional is that they are not pushy. Keith was supportive and I did not feel he pushed me to purchase a vehicle. He made sure to stay in my budget and was even able to find a vehicle that exceed my expectations. I will be retuning to Keith the next time I am in the market for a vehicle. More

Switched over to a Subaru in 2017 due to their high safety record. Last year we decided to trade our Forester in, before prices went up and our trade in value went down. Two weeks ago, we were involved in a rear ended collision and our one year old car was totaled! We fortunately, walked away fine! We bought a new Outback! Body style has changed somewhat, and new feature’s have improved what was already a great car!
