The General Manager, Michael Abbondanza , has assembled a great team of automotive professionals. He has built a culture focused on customer service and a no-hassle buying experience for car buyers. What a rare quality for a car dealership - and stark contrast to most other dealerships we have worked with in the past. Our Sales Advisor, Randy Miles, is always available and helpful. Randy is very knowledgeable and provides great customer service. We bought our latest car from Newton Nissan last night. I simply called Randy yesterday morning and told him what I was looking for. He located a vehicle immediately that met our needs and provided a very competitive price without putting us through the frustration and aggravation of "dickering" and fighting for a good deal. To complete the transaction and associated paperwork, Newton Nissan has a couple of great guys in the Finance Department. We have enjoyed working with both the Finance Director, Rob King, and the Finance Manager, Bruce Moss. Rob and Bruce are both extremely professional as well as being very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Buying a car always requires many documents and numerous signatures. Rob and Bruce make sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed in a quick and easy manner. Last night the car was running fine and all of a sudden the engine just stopped. This morning we called the Newton Nissan Dealership and they told us to bring the car in and they would be ready for it wit the engine just stopped. This morning we called the Newton Nissan Dealership and they told us to bring the car in and they would be ready for it without one hesitation, we live approximately 1 1/2 hours away. The car had to be towed in and believe me we were in a panic. The first person we came in contact with was Mr. Derek Boze who came out and greeted us and helped get the car unloaded and directed us to the service office. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease that some of the panic started to subside but we were still anxious about what would happen with the car. As we entered the service office, Mr. Russell Newton was there with a big, reassuring smile telling us that he would be right with us and it was only a matter of a minute or two before he was telling us that he was sure that everything would work out okay. My sister-in-law was with me and being two women, we were worried about being ripped off. The very minute one of the mechanics came out and started asking questions we just eased right in and tried to answer them, all three of the men kept assuring us that they would do everything possible to fix the car. They told us they would need about an hour or so to find out what was wrong and we asked if we could go to a store while we waited and they told us to go ahead and they would call and let us know what was going on and what they could do to fix it. They called in less than 30 minutes and told us that it was the wrong size air filter that had been replace by Jiffy Lube and that a bug had gotten in the sensor area and caused the sensor to kick the car off. They went on to tell us to take our time and come back when we were finished and the car would be ready. We asked if they could also change the oil and they did that also and even washed the car. Is was GREAT and the service was excellent! The quality of the work and the explanations were exceptional! They were more than friendly, they treated two women like we had car knowledge and treated us like family. The price was very reasonable and much less than we were afraid it would be. They reassured us that the car was fixed and IF EVER we needed them just call. They gave us their cards and wished us a great afternoon and a Merry Christmas and went way beyond our expectations. Being an "old car guy" since the 1960s, I try to perform vehicle research before contacting a dealer. I've had many purchase/service experiences running the full gambit ( super to good to below to perform vehicle research before contacting a dealer. I've had many purchase/service experiences running the full gambit ( super to good to below average to one I would rate as "turn out the lights, lock the doors and bulldoze the entire operation to the ground"). This was my first experience at Newton Nissan and my initial impressions are: +Their Customer Process(es) are in place and "fully implemented"....in my opinion, the customer may not always be right but a customer will always by a customer. I was treated as if I was the only person doing business (it was a Saturday and the place was full). +Their Vehicle Delivery Process(es) are "spot on" with their attention to the details....new car was spotless, sales associate explained all features, etc. +The Business/Finance Process(es) are standardized and the "customer documents" are explained and delivered in layman terms.....very professional with a relaxed atmosphere. +I did not have any service(s) performed but met Russel Newton and look forward to my initial service visit. +The showroom area(s) were clean and orderly.......I like clean and orderly. +From the customer area, the view into the Service Bays was limited but the areas were clean and orderly.......did I mention I like clean and orderly. +The Men's Restroom was clean and stocked...no clutter. +The Receptionist and others offered me water/coffee,etc. My initial contact was Donnie Mallory (another car guy) via telephone conversations and an initial visit to the dealership. What a great guy.....we also have the same hair color. He knows the inventory from A-Z and answered all of my questions (which is usually a tough thing to do). Unfortunately, he was out of state the day I made the decision to purchase, but Mike Castro introduced me to Tim Clark. Tim also is a car guy and very knowledgeable about the Nissan product line. Tim is also making arrangements for installation of some dealer options and I'm certain the work performed will meet my/our expectations. Rob King is the Director of Finance and while we didn't plan to finance the purchase, why not make a short-term, minimum amount loan (I planned to do this based on my initial research.....did I mention I'm a car guy?) At the end of the day, a dollar is a dollar......did I mention I like dollars. All of these professionals conducted business in a "like manner", therefore, I don't believe that happened by chance. In my opinion, Bill Newton and his Leadership Team have clearly communicated their expectations, implemented key process(es), provided appropriate training, time, tools and technology to meet the Customer's Expectation. They met my expectations and I'm a fairly demanding kinda guy! Tim made arrangements for Harold and Sandy to follow me home (Bowling Green) and deliver the new Maxima. They are great people and appear to enjoy what they do. Bill Newton Nissan has got it figured out...stay the course.....I'll be back..... More
