Poor customer service leaves us waiting for answers Our experience with the dealership has not been a good one. After speaking with a dealer on a late afternoon, we agreed to drive two hours to meet him Our experience with the dealership has not been a good one. After speaking with a dealer on a late afternoon, we agreed to drive two hours to meet him at 7pm and purchase a new truck. There wasn’t going to be any financing, so it was assumed the deal was going to go quickly, as we had another two hours to drive back. We were greeted professionally, however we waited around nearly 2 hours before signing the papers, and we’re the last people to leave a half hour after a 9pm closing. An hour into waiting, they had us complete a credit application even though we weren’t financing - the dealer could not give us a clear reason for this. The dealer was uninformed, and would not sit us down to even give us an “estimate” of vehicle price, taxes and title costs - something every other dealer I’ved worked with has done. In other words, we had no idea what we owed until after nearly two hours of waiting. A day after we returned home with the truck we were called and told that we needed to resign papers because my wife and my signatures were flipped on the buyer lines - something the finance person should have caught the previous evening. This is a large dealership, so responsibilities were split between many people. It would have given us more confidence if the people could have given us better answers to our questions. On the positive side, everyone was nice enough even if we were venting our frustration. The selection and availability of trucks was great which is why we went with them over another we were closely working with. But given the poor customer service, if we had a chance to purchase another vehicle we would not choose Luther North Country. More
