Short notice "Check Engine" diagnostics I bought a new F250 Diesel pickup in North Georgia and went on a 2300 mile trip on the East coast. When the truck had less than 900 miles, the Check I bought a new F250 Diesel pickup in North Georgia and went on a 2300 mile trip on the East coast. When the truck had less than 900 miles, the Check Engine light came on. I called the Ford Assistance number and they said I needed to have it checked very soon. I found the closest dealer on the afternoon of Friday the 13th of October while between Hilton Head South Carolina and Myrtle Beach South Carolina. That dealer was O.C. Welch Ford in Hardeeville, SC. I went to the Service Department and talked to Gary Newman who told me they were taking reservations for the following week. I explained the situation of how far I was from home, how the vehicle was almost new, and how I had to continue up the coast. He seemed glad to check with the Service Manager who said they would work me in somehow. They did, and the trouble had only been that I had plugged a cooler into the power outlet on the back of the console. They reset the Check Engine light alarm and I was on my way. They knew I had not bought the vehicle from them and would likely never be back to their dealership. They seemed more than willing to help and went beyond what most people wold have done. I am very grateful for the help, and told them so. True service is rare but greatly appreciated. More

Took vehicle in for noise on righ driver side Nancy Andrews was extremely helpful with the problem. They didn't hear the noise when they test drove my vehicle. She explained that if we could leave The car for several day they could test it several times. She explained everything in a way that I could understand. A previous service issue with this dealership had me ready to look elsewhere but as a businessman I realize that things can go wrong also. We were greeted by Thely Faust and after explaining what we were interested in she quickly retrieved some keys and we were looking at the available inventory. Within an hour we had the 2 vehicles selected and asked her to work the numbers while my wife and I went for lunch.
