Friendly; efficient; accomodating We can honestly say that we had a very good experience with all five of the dealerships we visited throughout the tri-state area. We visited Open Road not because we had even considered doing so, assuming a Manhattan dealership would be the most expensive, but because they responded to an internet query we made regarding prices in the local area and invited us to come and visit. When all was said and done, to our surprise, Open Road offered the best "deal" which of course is what we were shopping for. Jeff Hodge our salesman was very businesslike but friendly and accommodating. We did not feel pressure though we wanted a vehicle (Jetta SE TDI) of a particular color that was not available on Open Road's lot. We feel Jeff made every effort to locate and acquire the exact vehicle we wanted from another dealer and he accomplished it in good time as he knew we needed the car by a certain date. P.S. Would like to add this. We are 5th and 6th generation VW owners - from a Beetle (early 60s), to Squareback (Beetle totaled), to a '77 Rabbit (new), to a Fox wagon (used) , to a '97 Jetta GL (used) and finally to the present Jetta SE TDI (new). Perfect cars? - most; nobody is perfect; had problems with the electrical on the Fox. But have to say have been pleased and well served over the years. The cars have been reliable and of course - fun to drive. More
