Lee Brown was such a great sales person and Chris Boozer was great at the paperwork. We bought a Jeep and 1 week later came back and bought a corvette. I was going to trade a truck in on the Vet and the ne was great at the paperwork. We bought a Jeep and 1 week later came back and bought a corvette. I was going to trade a truck in on the Vet and the next day I called Chris and told him I really didn't want to trade the truck. He had no problems redoing the paper work for me to keep my truck and not trade it in. I will be back for my next purchase. More

Took my Jeep in for a battery issue and a recall Friday afternoon. Was told over the phone it would be $340 to replace an auxiliary battery and that it should be done Saturday. Received a call Friday aroun afternoon. Was told over the phone it would be $340 to replace an auxiliary battery and that it should be done Saturday. Received a call Friday around 5 that I missed but called back within 5 minutes. Was told that the customer service agent had already left and that they didn't know what was going on so I would have to wait until he was back. No follow up call Saturday to inform me what was going on I had to call Monday morning when I come to find out I hadn't heard back because the rep. and technician (the only two people "working" on my car were both off on Saturday. Needless to say I was a annoyed that my Jeep had been sitting up there not being worked on all weekend. When I called on Monday I was told that bother of my batteries were dead and that I would also need a new main battery bringing my total over $700. Now I'm not someone that works on cars, but I have replaced countless batteries in my time so I was very taken aback that replacing a main battery (one that is not difficult to get to) was going to cost $400, $250 of which was the battery. This left a $150 in labor to unscrew a couple bolts remove a battery and put a new one in which is something that many places do for free if when you buy a battery from them ( I'd like to point out you only have to buy a battery from them, not a $50,000+ vehicle). After calling my mechanic (a very reputable one at that) they were able to find the parts and provide a quote for $500 to do the same job in less than an hour not 3 days which is the amount of time it took you to get me a quote after I had to call myself. When I told the rep that would be taking the Jeep elsewhere he told me all I would have to pay is $150 diagnostic fee that was not previously brought to my attention. However, I was informed that I was wrong and he did tell me about the fee because he tells all his clients of the diagnostic fee (as an FYI, being in the service industry myself I do know that it's rarely a good idea to tell your customer they are wrong). So imagine you are in my position, you buy a Jeep from a Jeep dealership with a good buying experience so in the future your first stop in buying another Jeep/car will be this dealership. It's a Jeep dealership so you think you can trust them to take care of you and your vehicle. So you go there with a less than 3 year old jeep with a battery problem (yes, less than 3 years old and the battery is shot). You're told one price at drop off and then are told another price (over twice the original amount) after the Jeep has already been taken apart. You get another quote for a significant amount less for the same work and because you decide to get the work done elsewhere for less money you're slapped with a $150 fine. And the company fining you is the one that should be on your team since they have a vestited interest in taking care of their loyal customers and they products and services they sell. Instead of offering to match the other shop's price, they hold your car hostage for $150 because their prices aren't competitive. What do you do? How do you now view this company you thought you could trust? Would you ever take your car there again to get fixed? Would you ever support this company by buying a vehicle from them again? It is experiences like this that give car dealers a bad reputation. Despite this reputation I decided to give Palmer a chance because I had a good buying experience and a couple good experiences with recalls and oil changes (all of which were free). I was extremely disappointed, frustrated, angry and felt taken advantage of by a company that represents a brand that I care deeply about and that means a lot to me. I will have a Jeep for as long as I can drive but none of them will be purchased or serviced (with the expectation of recalls preformed at no cost) by Palmer Jeep in Roswell. Price gouging lifelong customers is no way to run a business but it's a good way to lose trust which customers value immensely in a mechanic. I don't trust that everything I was told was wrong was actually wrong, but I'll never know because it would've cost me $150 to find out. I have no expectations that this will have an impact on improving how you take care of your customers that spend tens of thousands of dollars on your product. But if I say nothing then it is guaranteed. Be the exception, be the dealership that people are comfortable going to knowing they will get nothing but honesty and a fair price. When I bought my Jeep I wasn't just buying a car, I was buying into a reputable brand, a tight knit community, a way of life; this is not what I experienced and I'm thoroughly disappointed. The people working behind that desk don't deserve to wear the Jeep logo that represents so much to so many people. I rarely (if ever leave reviews, especially negative ones), but it has been years since I was that angry and upset with an experience at any company. And after several days of contemplation I couldn't not share this experience in hopes that it just may have at least a slight impact on how you operate your business and treat your customers in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read this dissertation. Have a great night and a wonderful week. More
