On Feb 14th we stopped in at Phillips Chevy in Lansing to get a better overall look at the Equinox and its pricing. Upon arriving we were greeted by Joe Snaidauf and explained we were just browsing and tryi get a better overall look at the Equinox and its pricing. Upon arriving we were greeted by Joe Snaidauf and explained we were just browsing and trying to get more details on the Equinox SUV. Joe was anxious to provide us the details about the vehicle and had us take a test run back to our house so we could see if the vehicle would not be a problem for our garage since we already had a large vehicle . During the test run Joe provided and pointed out all the amenities and features for this model Equinox and told us to test the vehicle on the expressway for an exit or two so we could see what type of highway driving performance we would be getting. After arriving back at the lot Joe showed us the other Equinox versions with additional features to make sure we did not miss out on something we may have wanted. Joe wanted us to meet the sales manager prior to leaving to see if we could make a deal that day at which point he introduced Mike Darge who reviewed our info and gave us a quote that included a very fair trate in rebate for a vehicle he had not seen or inspected . As I told him I would not make a decision on the spot he made one more counter offer and then agreed to give me until Monday to make the deal based on his offering. Afterwards Joe assured us that the offer would be good even though we were not putting any money down. Joe touched base with us just prior to closing on Friday night to find out if there was anything else he could do to help us decide on the Equinox or if we had any questions. He offered to help us negotiate further with Sales Manager Mike Darge to find better financing terms or other discounts. We told him we would decide by morning and would stop in around noon. On Saturday we came back at which point we decided the Equinox on the showaroom was the SUV we wanted despite the additional features and price. Joe said he would work with the sales manager to make this deal. Subsequently after some give and take on both sides we were able to reach a price and terms that proved to be fair and equitable to both sides. Since it was late afternoon we told Joe we would pick up the vehicle on Monday but Joe insisted that he could get it off the showroom floor and ready for delivery within an hour . Joe expedited getting the car off the floor and delivered Saturday afternoon . Overall the purchase was a low pressure relaxed experience without having to worry about numbers and are we getting a good deal. Joe has an outgoing personality and a positive approach with people lhe interacts with thus it was easy to talk with him. iN addition, he and Mike Darge maintained the integrity for this deal on what was quoted even though we changed from the original vehicle purchase. Phillips Chevrolet in Lansing definitely has earned my respect for being fair and equitable in price negotiation along with a willingness to work the terms even if they go beyond their bottom line figure. I will be sure to let my friends and family know that they can expect to be treated with respect as a customer as well as getting a fair deal and not just someone to make a quick buck off of. . /s/ Roy Halpin More

On the day I purchased my car, Donna met me outside, even though it was a cold and somewhat rainy day. I was very impressed by this, and also the way she smiled and greeted me. She even bought food for me when I told her that I was diabetic and needed food. Prior to that, she had given me fruit to eat. She was very courteous, kind and professional. Once the problem was identified the tech came out with Kyle to discuss my problem. They saw my concern with all of the work needed so they took me in to see the problem for myself. Once the repair was started they checked with me several times to let me know the status. Obviously I was happy with all of this attention for a new customer. Once the work was completed they had me settled up and on my way in no time at all. My only complaint is that I did not find these guys earlier. Go see the Phillips service department...you won't be disappointed. More
Kyle Hunter was great. Got our windshield wiper motor fixed in a snowstorm, 1 hour before the parts store in IN closed. He dispatched a guy to the parts store while he diagnosed which part was needed, called the guy enroute with details, and got us back on the road within 3 hours. He kept us informed every step of the way. Everything you want in a service manager. He should be commended by his manager. Also: Oldsmobile was not on your list of brands, so I had to choose Chevy. I know my car is old, but I can't be the only Oldsmobile driver left on the road. :) More

The service manager John made sure that I was comfortable as I am an elderly handicapped woman with oxygen and a walker. They assisted me with my oxygen electricity needs and a room to wait. John explained the repair necessesary and even informed me that financing was available as I am on a fixed income. I believe his name was Maurice, but in any case, the gentlemen who gave me rides both to and from the dealership was soooo very kind. He assisted me into my home and made sure that I was ok before leaving. Thank you entire service crew. I will be sure to recommend you! More
