I initited an internet inquiry for a VW Passat SE with Navigationa nd Sunroof. AJ Fiore was a pleasure to deal with. He was honest, straightforward and did not take me on 'wild goose chases.' He offered his price the first time and after I tried to negotiate it down, he welcomed me to check out other dealerships. I did and after talking to 3 other dealerships, I found that the best I could do was within a few dollars of what AJ offered me to begin with. True to my word to him, I went back to him and made the deal for the car from him. We have worked otu the whole deal by phone, email and text and the car is now waiting for me to pick up. AJ assured me it would take less than an hour to sign the papers and drive off from the dealership. My experience with AJ to date has been so good that I actually believe he means what he says. I just have a gut feeling about this person from the first time I talked with him and I think it is turning out true. He is honest and upfront. I would love all the dealers to be like this. I strongly encourage all to deal with AJ if you are even thinking of getting a VW car. I made a strange request to AJ about lending me a 'car bow' so I can use that to surprise a family member. I just purchased a new Jetta from Platinum. I had a great experience and would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a Volkswagen. He was very helpful and really went the extra mile to help me. He was never pushy and did not try to sneak any added costs to the vehicle. He is honest and friendly. AJ really took out the stress that usually comes with buying a car. He was patient with all my questions and never gave the impression that he was too busy to help. The finance person I worked with was Eric Outcalt. He too was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Eric took the time to explain all my options and made sure I understood them all. He also took his time and made sure I didn't feel rushed. The owner, Josh Lever also came by and made sure that everything went smoothly and that I was well taken care of. Before leaving, they were sure to show us all the details of the car, even small things like how to change the time and select your preset radio stations. I would definitely recommend platinum VW. I now have a Jetta Sportswagen TDI which I was told (by another dealer) that I couldn't get at the price I wanted but I DID. The car is and was immaculate when I picked it up. Get this I was not allowed to drive away till the options were explained to me, that's service. The sales room was clean and modern with an atmosphere of quite professionalism and I saw lots of clientele buying. The service manager and the sales manager never pressured me to get extras but did explain completely my questions, what a fantastic dealership. When all was finalized I was escorted to the car by AJ and Debbie but stopped by Josh the senior salesperson and asked if all was well (it was not another opportunity to sell something) the place is genuinely friendly and personal. I had sent massive amounts of time researching my next vehicle from hybrids to diesels only Platinum gave me what I needed, a great car and great service. More
My original intention was to purchase a different car from a different dealership. My feeling was that I would sacrifice service for price, so I went to a dealer whom instructed me that I should come bac from a different dealership. Thankfully, that made my decision to go with a Volkswagen much easier. I went to Platinum Volkswagen based on a recommendation from a family member and was extremely pleased with the experience. Al made the car buying experience painless by taking all my requirements into consideration; he went above and beyond to assist me when my original insurance company did not adequately do its job. David sat with me and explained every facet of financing to a degree that made me completely comfortable with the price of my car and what I was getting. Debbie went over every feature inside my car so that I would get the most out of the driving experience. Josh, the owner of Platinum VW, was friendly and in touch with all of the customers. I would absolutely recommend this dealer to anyone - regardless of what you are looking to buy, consider a Volkswagen from this dealership. I was assured that this could be easily fixed and the service department would be able to give us an immediate appointment to fix the issue and even provide a loaner car. My sales advisor was kind enough to follow up the next day and ensure that I was able to make an appoinment - a true testament to the emphasis on customer satisfaction. When I dropped off the car I also mentioned that the transmission seemed to shift rather quickly. The service department not only fixed the sunroof issue but also reprogrammed the transmission to provided a better ride quality! I would definitely recommend Platinum VW to others as they take service seriously and stand behind their products. Josh (owner) and his team have a winning formula! More

I know from being in retail that shopping right before close can lead to a bad experience (the staff can sometimes be over eager to leave). This was not the case - Joe Riccobene took the time to ask us qualifying questions in order to determine our needs and wants, and made it clear that he will work within our budget. By this point the dealership was closed, so we agreed to come back the next day and test drive the vehicle. The Jetta drove very smoothly; Joe made sure to talk about the features of the vehicle, but also he let me enjoy the ride with some silence (to let me hear the engine/transmission). We looked at some numbers after the test drive, and I expressed a few concerns about my budget. I came back later that evening with my wife to talk about the price some more. I did not have to negotiate - Joe advocated for me, and got me to a price I felt more comfortable with. We filled out the credit application, and decided to move forward with the purchase. Joe worked with my insurance company to get me insured, and followed up with me each step of the way. I just drove the car off the lot this morning, and am very pleased. I could not have better things to say with everyone at the dealership - The owner took a few minutes for small talk, and to make sure that I was comfortable, another gentleman took the time to make my wife a cup of coffee while we waited, and I was helped by a friendly woman who showed me the ins and outs of the smaller points of the vehicle before driving off the lot. I did not initially see myself in a VW, however, the patience, courtesy, and professionalism of the team at Platinum made me more than happy to spend my money locally at a dealership that is committed to their customer base. Platinum Volkswagen changed my water pump two times before the car hit 3,600 miles, the last time being in April of 2012. The reason was a whistling noise. The last time they changed it, I drove off, only to see coolant leaking, so I promptly drove back and was told by the service manager that "that is normal, we overfill it with coolant", which I accepted as truth and drove off. A few months later, I take the car in for it's 10k service, and a leak is found on one of the hoses that was worked on by Platinum Volkswagen. The leak was contained to the belly pan and never made it to my garage floor or else I'd have found it much sooner. This car was brand new and only worked on by Platinum Volkswagen, so unless it is just a coincidence that a hose/part that they worked on wend bad, I'd have to say it gives me a good enough reason to be unsatisfied with their workmanship. As far as their customer service, all my experiences while dealing with the service department were negative. I was told that calling there 15 minutes before they close up shop means there is no one left that can tell me the status of my car. I needed a new tire and they installed and let me drive off with the wrong model tire that didn't match my other 3 tires. Luckily I spotted that as soon as I got home and was able to go back and have it swapped again. Joann Marsala, when I asked her why my car wasn't ready, gave me 3 different/conflicting stories during one phone conversation and eventually when I called her out on the lies, hung up the telephone on me. The manager tried to make things right, but in the end result, my new car is leaking coolant and all the negative experiences earned them 1 star on this site. I'd recommend anyone to take their vehicle to another dealership. More
