Precision Acura of Princeton responded

My name is Mitchell Brenner and I am the eCommerce Manager at Precision Acura of Princeton. I am sincerely sorry for your perception of how this transaction was handled. We never want a customer to leave upset. Unfortunately in this case there was not much we could, or would, have done differently. First off, you had a out of state license and wanted us to register the vehicle in Pa. This is against Pa. MV regulations so we were unable to accomplish this, nor would we be able to. The title to your vehicle was under someone else's name and so could only be used as a trade in once flipped to your name. Again, this is not our rule but the way it works. As to reducing the price, we were already selling this vehicle at the lowest price within 200 miles which is the reason you traveled from Delaware county to buy this car. As you stated "It's priced abnormally low for that style of jetta."! Just because your vehicle was not able to be traded in doesn't make our vehicle sell for $450 less. As to last minute change ups, we never actually changed anything. We follow all the rules and laws as laid out by Motor Vehicle and could not take in a trade from a person not involved in this transaction or register a vehicle with an out of state driver's license. I am truly sorry for you aggravation but we did ask you to leave a deposit on the vehicle which would have allowed us to hold the vehicle for you while all your MV issues were straightened out. You felt that "if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be" which is certainly your prerogative. The vehicle did then sell to another very happy customer and we are sorry it did not work out for you. In the future please understand that the State of registration must match the State on the Driver's license as well as the title must be in the person's name actually trading it.
