unqualified I took my 1984 318i for service. I had a specific problem I needed solved. a high idle in the 2000 range. I explained that I already replaced the idl I took my 1984 318i for service. I had a specific problem I needed solved. a high idle in the 2000 range. I explained that I already replaced the idle control valve, the air flow meter, the idle control module and the temp sensor. and that none of these parts were the culprit of my high idle. I also had a smoke test to eliminate a vacuum leak . ,my local garage explained I had a problem with my engine control module or ECU. all I wanted Rallye to do was to confirm that . no need to address any of the previously mentioned items NOPE!!! the expert highly trained mechanics adjusted the air flow module to the point that the car couldn't idle cold on its own. once warmed up whatever else was done now had the car idling at 2500 rpm,s and shaking violently rendering the car UNDRIVEABLE. THEY GAVE ME BACK THE CAR WITH MORE PROBLES AND AN EVEN HIGHER IDLE OF 2500 RPM,S. . Rallye managed to get the car to idle cold but I,m left with a much higher idle than I had ,a temp gauge that isn't reading the correct temp.( don't know what was done to cause that new problem) and the car was running so poorly when they first gave it back the violent shaking prematurely rattled internal parts of my muffler loose and I have a clanking noise in the muffler. so higher idle , malfunctioning temp gauge and a defective muffler are my new problems. WHY any adjustments were made to my new parts that had been eliminated as a source of the high idle is beyond my comprehension. . I'd like a complete breakdown of what was done to my car so I can reverse it and get back to solving my original problem of having the ECU evaluated. thank you for refunding all my money but you left me with more problems than I had. Oh, the diagnosis of a gasket job on the intake manifold cant be substantiated . James said mechanic sprayed carb cleaner around he intake manifold and detected a leak . I sprayed a half a bottle all around and found no such leak and a vac test done again and detected no leaks. you screwed my car up . what happened to highly trained and expert mechanics. they couldn't solve my problem and made the car worse. if you were me what recommendation would you give. although James was polite and courteous, that doesn't help me. More

Sale was quick as they had both types of CPO's i was looking into and pretty much matched another dealership I was planning on going to. Went in for service a few weeks later and took good care of the car and problem. I just wish that they had been more upfront about how long it would end up taking, but I got a loaner. I also think the loaners should be of equal or higher type of car brought in for service. More
