Took my 2017 Ford Mustang in with yellow wrench light on and vehicle hard shifting. Initial code indicated transmission issue. Transmission team found no problem and referred my car to the engine team. Acco and vehicle hard shifting. Initial code indicated transmission issue. According to the engine tech there was a gauge in the engine (per service advisor it was a manufacturer defect) which allowed coolant into cylinder. I questioned this because if it was a manufacturer defect it wasn't a new issue so why is my vehicle performing poorly all of a sudden. I never got an answer on that. After paying $5095 to have the engine repaired I picked my car up and was unable to drive it off the dealership lot. The wrench light was still on and it was still hard shifting. The car stayed there and a censor was replaced. I was told a second time that my car was ready and it did the exact same thing I was back at the dealership within 15 minutes. Additional, repairs were done to the transmission main harness, and I've not had that problem again. My vehicle was misdiagnosed originally and I'm out off pocket for $5000 as a result. The repairs there were made had nothing to do with the issue I brought my car in for. More
I went to go get my vehicle diagnosed because I was having a leak from somewhere. They charged me $200 for the diagnosis and told me the incorrect information. My rear main seal was leaking and they to having a leak from somewhere. They charged me $200 for the diagnosis and told me the incorrect information.
