Buying a truck from Riata Ford in Manor was the worst customer experience I have ever received starting from the employees the store manager. I would never buy from this location ever again. customer experience I have ever received starting from the employees the store manager. I would never buy from this location ever again. More

My 350 needed an oil and filter change and top off all fluids. I was met by Alex the service writer, he was very friendly and punctual and helped me redeem my Ford points on his computer. My vehicle was serviced by Alejandro in the service bay. Alejandro came out into the waiting area and spoke with me, I reminded him to top off the DEF fluid as well, he assured me he had done that. When my vehicle was done I left Riata Ford and got on the highway heading home. Randall Cates called me and asked me to return back, he said my truck had left a puddle of oil. I returned immediately and sure enough oil was running out down the oil filter. As it turns out Alejandro had put a filter on the truck that had a broken O- ring. Oil was running down the sides of the filter. Luckily Mr. Cates sharp eye caught this and my engine was not destroyed on my new 2022 F350 super duty power stroke diesel. Alejandro‘s lack of attention to detail was nearly a disaster yesterday. If this had been the only issue we could have chalked it up to a learning moment and left it at that, however yesterday was not Alejandro‘s best day. When I spoke to him in the waiting area he had assured me that he had topped off the DEF fluid, he even told Mr. Cates personally that he had topped off the DEF fluid. This was not the case as I drove away I noticed the quantity gauge of the DEF fluid read half full. Even after Alejandro had told me personally and told Mr. Cates personally that he had topped off the DEF tank. I brought the F350 back today in order for the DEF fluid to be serviced. Alejandro showed up and I asked him about it. He seemed nervous but I told him let’s top off the DEF fluid tank, he then climbed under the truck and told me there was a weep hole in the exhaust pipe that he had put the DEF fluid! Alejandro had absolutely no clue how to put DEF fluid in a vehicle, it was obvious to me he had lied to me and also to Mr. Cates . Alejandro single-handedly nearly destroyed the engine in my new F350 super duty diesel power stroke. He intentionally lied and was misleading when he said he had put DEF fluid in the vehicle when he had not done so. Riata Ford cannot gamble with this type of liability, some internal evaluation needs to take place because this had the potential for disaster. Mr. Randall Cates deserves recognition for noticing a puddle of oil and connecting it to my truck and calling me immediately on the telephone. Sincerely , John Hobbs 512 699-6850 More
