Bait and Switch This dealership participates in a form of bait and switch style advertising scheme designed to attract customers to their dealership by regularly adv This dealership participates in a form of bait and switch style advertising scheme designed to attract customers to their dealership by regularly advertising cars at $3000 less than the price that they are intending to sell them at. Cars are advertised at this lower price on many internet vehicle search sites, including AutoTrader, Car.com and Edmunds. Their own website also advertises the cars at this lower price with the notation "Final Price" posted immediately below the figure. Once the customer arrives at the dealership they are invited to look for all other cars that might meet their criteria and then taken for a full test drive prior to discussing anything about the price of the advertised car - I was told that it is company policy to refuse to discuss prices until the customer has gone for a test drive. Once you've gone for the test drive and come in to discuss prices the agent then points out to you that the "fine print", posted only on their website and only way at the bottom of the page, states that "Advertised prices reflects Dealer Discounts. $1500 Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge Loyalty Incentive (the primary buyer must have purchased or leased a vehicle from Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge in the last 3 years, and must be using that vehicle as a trade-in), and $1500 Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge Recent College Grad Incentive (the Primary Buyer needs proof that you have graduated from one of the following accredited programs in the last 6 months: accredited 4-Year College/University, Accredited 2-Year College/University, Registered Nursing Degree Program, Accredited Graduate Degree Program)". In other words the advertised price is only available if the customer has both recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership and is trading that vehicle in AND has recently graduated from college. Certainly an uncommon combination of factors that could not be assumed to apply to most customers viewing their advertisements. More

Unhappy, Dissatisfied Customer - Bad Experience On May 1, 2015 I contacted Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Ram dealership inquiring about a vehicle that I saw on their website. I spoke with a sales On May 1, 2015 I contacted Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Ram dealership inquiring about a vehicle that I saw on their website. I spoke with a salesperson by the name of Frank Carbone and he stated that the car was still available. After negotiating a price on the vehicle, I asked if the vehicle could be held so that I can have an independent inspection performed since I am an out-of-state buyer. He said no problem, however, I would need to put down a deposit of $1000.00 to show my interest. I said no problem as long as the deposit is refundable if for whatever reason the deal failed to go through. Thereafter, I proceeded with giving him my deposit. On May 6, 2015 the independent inspection was performed by Carchex. I received the report from Carchex on May 7, 2015. I was satisfied with the results so I contacted Frank via text to set up a time to discuss next steps to close the deal. I spoke with Frank the evening of May 7, 2015 and told him that I wanted to proceed with buying the vehicle. I told him that I had financing arrange through my bank but I would consider his dealerships financing if the terms where better. On May 8, 2015 I spoke with Frank and he stated that his dealership was able to match the terms of my bank and that he would proceed to next day air the paperwork for me to sign. He said that I should receive it no later than May 11, 2015. May 11, 2015 arrived and I did not receive the paperwork. I contacted Frank via text and asked him to confirm if the paperwork went out. He replied later in the afternoon on May 11, 2015 via text and stated that he was in training all morning and could not use his phone. He said that he would give me a call within a half hour. Every day since May 11, 2015, Frank has not returned my calls or answered my text messages. I finally sent him a text message on 5/13/2015 and stated that the deal is dead due to his inaction and lack of communication. This is very unprofessional and no consumer should be treated this way. Now what really ticked me off is that I was never aware of when I was suppose to bring in my car for an oil change I was never told anything about it I brought my car in about a couple weeks ago complaining about my gears not shifting properly and noticing jumping as I accelerate machanics told me there was nothing wrong... But never thought maybe I need an oil change!!! So I thought to myself called and was told I need an oil change every 3700 miles well thanks i was never informed so I spoke to a Machanic Dan? And all he could tell me is that it's my responsibility how when I was never TOLD!!! So far this dealership is unprofessional from the dealers to the machanics to the receptionists. I don't recommended this place what's so ever. Don't be fooled when they tell you if you buy your car here you get lifetime oil changes. Augh I regret this place. More
