George answered all my questions and concerns and showed me many cars in my budget. Once I selected a car I met Bernard Birtsch who helped close the sale. The two of them were very professional and nice. I recommend using this dealership for any new or used car purchase. More
I met with George Mack at the dealer late in the afternoon on a Saturday, and I was very impressed with how straightforward and kind George is. While there, I took two different small SUVs out for t afternoon on a Saturday, and I was very impressed with how straightforward and kind George is. While there, I took two different small SUVs out for test drives to get a feel for how each drove. George did an excellent job of highlighting the differences between the two vehicles for me. I realized in his 40+ years of selling cars, George Mack has a very good grasp of the nuances of each model. I would recommend a visit with George Mack and his manager, Bernard Birtsch if you are interested in buying or leasing a vehicle. They have numerous brands available and a very healthy inventory of well-priced, lower-mileage cars ready to go. More
Disappointing Experience at Route 46 Auto & Route 46 Nissan I had a very disappointing experience with Route 46 Auto and Route 46 Nissan. I strongly advise anyone considering a visit think 1000 times be Nissan I had a very disappointing experience with Route 46 Auto and Route 46 Nissan. I strongly advise anyone considering a visit think 1000 times before doing so. Before scheduling my appointment, I made it explicitly clear that I wanted full transparency regarding all charges. I was assured multiple times that the only fees involved would be sales tax, DMV, and documentation fees--nothing more. Since the dealership is 60 miles from my home, I wanted to avoid wasting my time and that of my family. However, after the test drive, the salesperson unexpectedly added a $4,000 certification fee, claiming it was mandatory. This was never mentioned during our earlier conversations, despite my direct questions about hidden fees. I did mistake even after reading so much bad review's I took chance of visiting this dealership & regretting on my decision. If you visit this dealership I can bet you waster your precious time and money. Why wasn't this disclosed upfront? Why mislead potential customers and waste their time? I interacted with three individuals--Troy Lockett, Chris, and Schuyler Miller--during this process, all three are biggest frauds. Based on my experience, I would caution others to be extremely careful when dealing with this dealership. If you value your time and money, I recommend exploring other, more transparent dealerships. Update on this review (07/20/2025) : Stefanie contacted me to ask how my appointment went. She mentioned that the Certification Program, which all three salespeople—Troy Lockett, Chris, and Schuyler Miller—claimed was mandatory for purchasing the car, is actually optional. Stefanie said she confirmed this with one of the managers. She also told me she would send me an email by tomorrow morning with this information and arrange an appointment with another manager so I can proceed with purchasing the 2021 Nissan Sentra SV. Now, I’m waiting to see whether Stefanie is being genuine or if she’s just like the other three who misled me. Review Update (07/21/2025) : Now, these individuals have also begun concealing their identities. The person who gave us the test drive introduced himself as 'Chris,' but we saw Nick as salesman name on quotation sheet, so we believe his name is Nick. Mr. Frank Tackett, was the contact number you provided intended to mislead customers or simply for show? No one ever answers the calls made to that number, even when it's used to report concerns. I received an email from Tiffany confirming that the Certification Program—previously described as mandatory by Nick, Troy, and Schuyler—is in fact optional. This raises a serious concern: why was I led to believe otherwise, resulting in an unnecessary 120-mile round trip and a significant waste of time for me and my family? Additionally, Tiffany provided a revised price estimate for the 2021 Nissan Sentra SV, increasing it from $13,995 to $14,995. I was in regular communication with her on Saturday (07/19/2025) and Sunday (07/20/2025), during which the price was consistently quoted as $13,995. The sudden price hike on Sunday night, followed by a request for me to pay the increased amount, is both disappointing and unprofessional. This experience has left me questioning the integrity of the sales process at Route 46 Auto. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure transparency and respect for customers moving forward. Tiffany Torres confirmed via email that the certification program was optional and mentioned she would assign a different manager to assist me with the sales process. However, I never received any follow-up from her. Despite multiple attempts to reach out through calls, text messages, and voicemails, I received no response. This lack of communication suggests that she may have been aligned with others who previously provided misleading information. Unfortunately, this experience reflects poorly on Route 46 Autos. They are worst More
Shocked. I went here, 2 hour drive to Jersey, for a used Sentra and when I called I was advised only additional charges would be $899 + doc fee. Then I was to I went here, 2 hour drive to Jersey, for a used Sentra and when I called I was advised only additional charges would be $899 + doc fee. Then I was told its nearly $4k more than listed value since they must a full inspection. I then redirected my focus to a new car since why get a used and pay premium and I already wasted the sunday driving to this dealership. I agreed to financing for the dealer price on a new Nissan Kicks. But then was told about warranties i would need since car is new but prone to issues etc. I was sold $4.k worth of warranties on a nearly 36k purchase. I Was told the new car will be full of troubles and my car warrantly wont cover much so we taxed and financed it on, now i was looking at a huge sales price. I asked for copy, while signing everything, he said sure! They processed a portion of the down and the financing and had me signing quickly without reading. I was told a different rate at the table and then a really high finance rate during signing nearly 9% interest, which had to ask for him to disclose. $1475 supplement freight charge was added onto the destination charges already being paid which we glossed over since Several times during negotiating my trade in, I confirmed the additional fees : 899 + dmv fees only and we shook on it. That's it. By the time I sat to close, the numbers shouldve been as discussed. The associate did not mention the charge now the managers who shook my hand when I itemized the additional fees and confirmed there are no additional charges before saying yes. Now when signing, Bernard went through the numbers quickly verbally. I tried to jot down as quickly as I could. I hoped they were being honest. He explained a contract and made me lay out a signature on a tablet. I didn't have access to the document he was placing my signature into. Now 2 weeks later after practically begging for my signed documents I have them. And in that same document it states my right to have access to this contract as the time I signed. I never saw pages 1-4. All generic signatures placed in there, re: interest contract with an arbitratuon clause. They made every excuse to not send my documents my way. I called and messaged nearly everyday, but Bernard kept saying I have it im sending tonight, for 3 nights Then they changed their story to, we'll wait till the plates come in and we dont want to pay twice for delivery. I spend so much money but a delivery fee is an excuse. They even said, oh we typically send it all together. When 2 weeks ago it was, yes you will get your documents as you should once we get the 10k in full. I had rights to this. I emphasized I needed my documents and the 2nd key which they promised after they received 10k. since its a huge purchase, and i requested he give me my copy. He quickly stated that he'd give them to me after my funds were processed. I asked about plates, he said he had them and would send as well. Even NY plates? HE said yes, of course he had them! I was shocked but I emphasized needed the papers ASAP, especially fund breakdown. Had I known he was going to make me wait I would've taken a picture. He refused to email. Refused to share an account number for the financing, stating i cant pay it off now too since itll take 4-6 weeks to have an account set up. Now after speaking to Nissan directly, I've learned they opened an email account In my name to manage my financing account. Lied that I cant pay off my loan right away which In Fact in the contract where my signature was digitally and illegally slapped onto without my consent, states I can in fact pay it off and have right to the document i signed. Especially given I requested it so many times! Illegal. I was so grateful when I left but to have left without a breakdown, without anything I signed and then 2 weeks post them having all fund still not giving my documents? More

Do not recommend this dealer. Had not purchased a car in many years, and I came from out of state to look at a car I found online. I could not have picked a worse place. We purchased a pre-owned Nissan Rogue in February 2025. 93 days later and 900 miles, the car was showing numerous error messages, so we brought it in for service. The service department told us that a soft 93 days later and 900 miles, the car was showing numerous error messages, so we brought it in for service. The service department told us that a software update defect was causing battery issues and that WE needed to pay to replace the battery (upwards of $600) for an update that they neglected to do prior to selling us the vehicle. This was not our fault, and after several phone conversations and a negative review, the dealership replaced the battery at no cost to us. They just asked that I update my one-star review. I chose not to immediately do that so we could confirm that the problem was properly fixed. Needless to say, one month later, all of the same error messages appeared. Glad we didn't pay for that battery they tried to force on us. We discovered that the rear hatch was leaking water (again, something that should've been found during the inspection prior to the sale). A little over three weeks later, the dealership STILL has the car. Now the story is that the leak is shorting out wires and causing the errors (guess it wasn't that battery after all). I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've called for updates and was told "I'm waiting for my manager to get back to me" or no follow up at all. Then I was told that they're considering a few options. One option is to replace the rear window and do a leak test, otherwise there's a leak in the hatch. I was told that the warranty does not cover leaks, and I made it VERY clear that I will not be paying for something that they did not properly inspect. I was told that the hatch replacement could cost $4,000, but "they don't expect me to have to pay that." During this process, George, our salesman, called me to see if I knew of anyone in the market for a car. Ha! How quick he is to sell a car but doesn't help when we're told to go back to our salesman to assist in the matter. I would never recommend this dealership and regret buying a Nissan. I'll be calling corporate again to file another complaint. More
