Found out we have an oil leak that will cost 5k to repair. We were told that oil leak was communicated to us after oil consumption test was done. This is not true or we would have booked a follow up repair. We were told that oil leak was communicated to us after oil consumption test was done. This is not true or we would have booked a follow up appointment right away. We were told all clear by three different sources. The report after oil consumption test was that we were all clear period. Our car has been in this shop numerous times for oil light- both at Subaru Stamford and Rye. We brought in more times than we can count, just look at the records. It's why we insisted on oil consumption test. This model has had a recall that we were never notified of even as we brought the car in time and time again. Oil consumption test only happened because we learned of it second hand, now we need a 5k repair. Given the repair and maintenance history of this car, we will never buy a Subaru again. It's been a oil-light-leak headache from day 1 and plan to post that on every social media source I can. The Subaru customer-caring vibe is a big lie. More
