I had the absolute best experience in all of my years of leasing through Chrysler. It has been 17 years and this time ( February 17, 2014) after a prior visit 1 week earlier, I had to take this burden on my own as a recent widow and went to Salerno Duane in Summit for the first time for sales (prior visits were for service) and I met Sergio Ovalle and I immediately felt safe and comfortable! I thought there was going to be a catch. He was considerate , patient , kind and gentle and very honest. I had dealt with OTHER dealerships for the previous years and it was such a stressful experience because it was so obvious that there was this urgency to up~sell and always a feeling of insecurity about what "line" was next. I wish every friend and family member I have will go to see Sergio Ovalle and Michael Cohen at Salerno Duane in Summit ......mostly because they eliminated all of that "secret meeting upstairs" debacle. Everything was pretty upfront and timely. I highly recommend SALERNO DUANE OF SUMMIT , N.J. AND IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO MEET SERGIO OVALLE....YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I have rated Sergio Ovalle with all 5's because he was professional, honest, knowledgeable and made my experience at Jeep a pleasurable one. I was able to come to the dealership and sign and drive the same day all because everything Sergio told me over the phone was the same thing in person, no haggling, no unseen fees, no trying to change the numbers (these were problems I've had in the past with the Honda dealership). Sergio was very professional and explained everything to me in detail. I couldn't be happier with the customer service he provided me and with my new Jeep. My lease was up on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I needed to return it by 12/31. After calling several dealerships who said they wouldn't take the car unless I was buying a new one (since I was return needed to return it by 12/31. After calling several dealerships who said they wouldn't take the car unless I was buying a new one (since I was returning it somewhere different from origination), Salerno said they would take the car as long as I was at their dealership early because they were closing by 3pm on 12/31. When I arrived at the dealership I noticed there was no one there and thought that this was going to be an easy exchange. I should have realized this wasn't going to be easy as I walked through the showroom not greeted. The "salesman" sat at a desk too bust eating chicken wings to even greet a customer. After walking through the showroom, I was forced to go back to the hungry workers and ask for assistance. I was immediately told that there was no way they would be accepting the car and that I was basically SOL and needed to go back to where I leased the vehicle. I asked to speak to a manager thinking that this was just a low level lazy salesman who didn't want to do a little bit of work. So as I was motioned over to the manager (Mike), his groupie salesman huddled around the desk so they could hear what he had to say. Mike also informed that I was SOL and that there was no way he could take the Jeep (unless I was buying a new one or I had leased from there), his lot was simply "too full". Mind you the places was empty when I arrived and there was plenty of room in the "Inn". After I explained the conversation I had with someone from the dealership a mere 2 days before, Mike shook his head and said sorry. He didn't once offer any solutions. It was a xxxx shame because while I wasn't looking to get a car that day I was planning on looking at the Wrangler Limited. So I go out to my car to call the leasing company, Ally. As I am only hold one of these amazing salesman walks by my car and slams into the side mirror bending it backwards and acts like nothing was wrong. In the end Ally is sending someone to my house to get the car and will honor the attempted turn-in. They on the other hand understand what true customer service is all about. If you are in the hunt for a new car, do yourself a favor and don't shop here. If you want to work with unprofessional people then this is your spot. These "salesman" give real sales people a bad name. What a shame. More

This is the second time I have leased from Salerno Duane and both times have been very positive. This time I dealt with Michael A., who was a pleasure to deal with. He was very knowledgeable about the veh and both times have been very positive. This time I dealt with Michael A., who was a pleasure to deal with. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and various incentives, and I was very happy with the deal that I got and the experience I had. Michael was also insistent that he familiarize me with all the new technology in the vehicle and encouraged me to call him with any further questions. The atmosphere was relaxed, with no pressure to "close". All my questions were answered and adequate time was afforded. I never felt pressured or rushed, and I left with the feeling that I had gotten a great car at a good price. I would not hesitate, and I intend, to deal with Salerno Duane in the future. More
