Best Car Sales Experience My wife and I stopped at Salerno Duane Summit to look at the new Jeep. That's when we first met Sergio Ovalle. He was courteous and knowledgeable, not My wife and I stopped at Salerno Duane Summit to look at the new Jeep. That's when we first met Sergio Ovalle. He was courteous and knowledgeable, not at all like a typical pushy Salesperson. We appreciated that he took the time to go over all details of the vehicle and gave us information regarding Lease options. Because of his professional manner, we returned a couple of months later to meet again with Sergio. It was the Best experience in a Car Dealership. No gimmicks, No hidden costs, just straight Honest talk and we left that day with our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The Manager Mike Cohen, thanked us for coming to his Dealership and followed up with a personal phone call. Sergio Ovalle handled all details smoothly and I would highly recommend him to my Family and Friends. More

Not a single person approached me. I came in today, Saturday afternoon. My friend and I walked across the sales floor and no one came by to introduce themselves. I did hear the click I came in today, Saturday afternoon. My friend and I walked across the sales floor and no one came by to introduce themselves. I did hear the clicks of locking cell phones as we walked by about 5 sales reps (of which only one was helping another customer). We walked to the side of the lot with all the cars and spent about 10 mins looking around. We came back inside, crossed the sales floor (again clicks locking cell phones as we passed by again) and we spent about 10 minutes looking at the Cherokee on the floor. Still no one came by. We just left frustrated. The place was empty so it's hard for me to understand why no one came by. I grew up in Summit and after living in Hoboken for 17 years I moved back to the area. I came in as an all cash buyer ready to buy in the town I grew up. I left your dealership and went to Douglas on the other side of town. In the end, they won my business. More

The experience with the finance manager was not as pleasant and I did not have a good feeling about the transaction when I finished dealing with this individual. When questioned on various charges he went into car salesman double talk and even hung up the phone on me when I continued to question him. More

The jeep was not tested and was required to be returned 4 xs before they rectified the issue. Now that it is serviced, the maintenance program I purchased does not cover regular maintenance, unlike every other manufacturers plans. Jeff, the service manager is RUDE and always right, he does not realize his job is to service customers rather than lecture them. This dealer has lost a customer for life. More

When my wife and I decided to get a new car for our growing family, I dreaded the car buying process. That was until I walked in to Salerno Duane Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ford in Summit, NJ. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was at the top of our list. My salesman was Paul Shorrock. The process from test drive to signing on the dotted line was pleasant, I might even go as far to say enjoyable. The dealership experience was positive, down to the well stocked waiting area. I walked away with the exact car I wanted at what I felt was a competitive price. I would recommend speaking with Paul and look forward to returning to Salerno Duane in the future. More

A friend of mine recommended that I go see Sergio and the first time I called him he was already on it! He understood my situation and that I needed a car as soon as possible. He was able to get me the exact car I wanted in the price range that fit my budget (which was especially impressive to me being that I had not prepared my finances to get a new car so suddenly). Sergio had my car ready for me in the matter of 2 days! When I arrived at Salerno Duane to sign my papers Jeff explained everything to me very clearly and there were no hidden fees ANYWHERE. I was expecting this experience to be very high stress for me, but Sergio and Jeff made the process so easy. I would recommend them to anyone and would go there again in a heartbeat! Thank you guys!! Sergio addressed my concerns, provided me with a fantastic vehicle (the exact vehicle I wanted) at a great price with no nonsense or haggling. I had done a great deal of research on the vehicle and pricing prior to going to the dealership, so I knew that the price Sergio gave me was extremely fair. It was a painless experience. I strongly recommend that if you are looking for a Jeep or a Chrysler vehicle that you see Sergio -- there is no one else with whom I would rather deal. More

They have told me that it would "probably be ready" for the last 5 business days, which means that for the last 5 business days I have had to make arrangements for it to get picked up... only to be told that it would "probably be ready" tomorrow. I'm not even going to get into how much they royally screwed up on getting the warrantee submitted. Here's the thing, I know a mechanic less than a half a mile away who would have been able to take the whole thing apart and put it back together again three times by now, and his is a *very* busy shop. If this were something which I could generally believe would take that long, I would be a bit more patient, but they have showed little competency and less consideration. They are rude and they do not return phone calls, and I want my vehicle back. More

The way I have been treated since then is disgusting. First of all I was supposed to be credited the $100.00 deposit I gave on the car and still haven't been and it's safe to say I won't be. Sergio told me to follow up with him about the deposit which I did but never got a response after numerous calls and emails. I leased a brand new 2014 jeep Cherokee the beginning of February. In the past 2.5 months my brand new car has been in the shop twice (both times for 5 days). Both times the check engine light came on and my car wouldn't go past 30. The first time it happened I called the Salerno Duane dealership in Summit where I got the car and they told me they couldn't see it for another 5 days and they didn't have a loaner for me. I said I have a 2.5 year old daughter how can I drive this car when it's unsafe. They didn't care. I took my car to Autoland on Route 22 and they were beyond accommodating. I called Sergio to tell him how upset I was that my brand new car was in the shop and he told me to call him when I got it back so that he could arrange for his dealership to look at it as well and he would set me up with a loaner. Well 3 calls and numerous emails later Sergio still hasn't responded. Since then my car has been in the shop again. Knowing that Sergio could care less about getting back to me I decided to call the manager, I don't even know his name bc he was so short with me on the phone that he interrupted me mid sentence and said he would get back to me. It's been 3 weeks now and nothing. This dealership clearly only cares about making a sale. It's so upsetting to be treated this way especially since I was a great customer, walked in didn't haggle and signed my paperwork the next day. Sergio was so nice and friendly to me that day and I still can't believe that even after I wrote him such a nice review that he would treat a customer like this. Even if there was nothing he could do, it's common courtesy to call me back or respond to my emails. I clearly stated to Sergio and the manager that I have a 2.5 year old daughter and bought this car so I can feel safe in it and was concerned that the check engine light kept coming on in a brand new car but they could care less. I'm not the type of person to write stuff like this but I felt I had to write it since I wrote that other nice review. I would never want anyone else to get treated the way I have. More
