A deal I thought was amazing turned on me I bought a budget car from schoepp. The day after buying, it broke down. It was towed in for repairs. 5 days later I picked it up, drove it home and i I bought a budget car from schoepp. The day after buying, it broke down. It was towed in for repairs. 5 days later I picked it up, drove it home and it broke down again. It was towed in a second time for repair. I went in trusting Schoepp since I had great experiences previously and even got my family and friends to buy cars from them. I was told "no returns" and that they'd only fix my budget car. For my kids safety I wasn't willing to drive it again, since both times it broke down were pretty traumatic situations and in 90 degree heat with a child. I asked to swap for another car and I would pay the difference. The owner wasn't willing to do that cause he would lose money. Charlie pushed and pushed for me and the owner finally said he would take the aveo back for its full value ($5000) and give me this awesome newer car for only $10k. I happily agree thinking I would be paying 10k. Upon paperwork time, I suddenly owe 16k. They say that since they have to pay the bank the 5k, I have to pay them the payoff amount. So my bank a week prior gave them 5k, they pay back the 5k, and I now have to pay THEM back the 5k, on top of a new car. So at the end of the day, they got my 5k, the car back, PLUS made a sale for 10k, and I am basically paying the budget car that broke down plus a 10k car, which I won't lie is a gorgeous car, but I could have found the exact same car, in manual which is what I wanted, even lower miles from Chevrolet dealer, for under 12k. Do I recommend schoepp? I have all these years. I drove an hour several times in this mess to give them the benefit of the doubt. Charlie was amazing, he was professional and kind, but after this, after basically paying for the budget car then giving it back and still owing, my gut tells me no. This was my last purchase with schoepp. I had many years of good experience but with my family and our current situation and my kids safety being my concern, I don't think I could ever go back there again. I trusted this company and although the salesmen were amazing help, Charlie Jamil and Scott, amazing people and salesmen who go above and beyond, I don't feel happy or good. I felt like the manager and owner were so inconvenienced by me being there, annoyed with me, and they actually convinced everyone this was an amazing deal and I was being helped. All he had to do was pay back the 5k my bank gave him the week before. Which he did, then considered it a payoff and put it on me even though they had the car longer for me. So again, bank pays 5k, schoepp pays it back, I owe schoepp the 5k, so either way they got me paying them for the car that left me stranded plus the car back . Many many people had amazing experiences, this one broke all of mine and I couldn't go through this again. I am emotionally drained and couldn't even sleep all night because of this. Good luck everyone I hope your experiences are far better than mine. Sorry for the 2 stars but how I feel it would have been 0-1 this time around. More
