My son’s car had some issues with tires right after Christmas and right before he was scheduled to leave on a trip. The vehicle was incorrectly represented to be a Tacoma TRD but was actually an SR5. Added some complexity to the negotiations but was able to resolve. When the vehicle was test driven it was noticed that there was a problem with one of the bulbs. his was brought to the sales associate's attention who at the time assured me that it would be fixed but it never was. Also, the copy of the inspection report done on the car by the dealership indicated that a blinker bulb was replaced but to date the blinker does not function correctly. The sales associate was notified that I had left several bungee cords were left in the vehicle and wished to be retrieved. The car was purchased on Friday and a special trip was made to the dealership on Sunday to deliver the title and extra key. The sales associate communicated to me that he would meet me at the dealership on Sunday to deliver cords but did not show. I was really disappointed since the round trip from my house to the dealership is over 120 miles. I was also disappointed that the vehicle only came with one key and I was not aware of this until after the negotiations were completed. Purchasing an additional key for this vehicle from a dealer will cost about $300. The sales manager indicated that they would try to assist me in acquiring an additional key a little cheaper, if possible, but so far I have not heard from the dealership. This was really disappointing since part of the reason for making the Sunday trip was to deliver the 2nd key connected with the trade-in to the dealership. More
I was amazed at how easy it was to schedule an appointment to have one of my tires checked for damage. They found the offending nail and replaced the tire (it was not repairable).
