Our experience at Silver Star Motors was extremely disappointing, largely because of how we were treated by Matt. From our initial conversation, Matt seemed to make assumptions about what we could disappointing, largely because of how we were treated by Matt. From our initial conversation, Matt seemed to make assumptions about what we could afford. When we explained that we couldn’t afford the payment in the $700 range that he initially suggested, he became dismissive and didn’t even bother to continue a meaningful conversation with us. Rather than discussing alternatives or trying to understand our needs, it felt like he had already decided we weren’t worth his time. The biggest frustration was that we were specifically told to come in to have our current vehicle appraised. We made the trip expecting that process to happen, but it never did. Our vehicle wasn’t appraised, we weren’t shown a single Mercedes-Benz, and the entire visit ended up being a complete waste of our time. Matt, despite your assumptions, we did end up purchasing a Mercedes-Benz, and that too from a dealership that treated us with respect, took the time to work with us, and didn’t judge us based on one initial conversation. That dealership earned our business because they understood that you should never assume what someone can or cannot afford. My advice is simple is to treat every customer with respect. Ask questions before making assumptions, and don’t dismiss people because they don’t immediately fit the numbers you have in mind. Silver Star Motors has lost our business because of experiences like this, and as long as employees like Matt who treat customers this way represent the dealership, I can’t recommend shopping here.
