Hesitation 2017 Highlander Good afternoon, Contacted Toyota via Email indicating displeasure with hesitation on the 2017 Highlander I purchased from Smithtown Toyota this pas Good afternoon, Contacted Toyota via Email indicating displeasure with hesitation on the 2017 Highlander I purchased from Smithtown Toyota this past February. A rep from Toyota called me the next day and offered to set up an inspection and road test at the dealership with the service manager Dave Bartoli. Met Dave this morning and after the road test, he indicated that there were many complaints about the hesitation with both the 17 Highlander and 17 Sienna. He filed an open case # on my behalf and felt that Toyota would address the issue in the future. Approximately 20 minutes later Dave called me and said he discovered a TSB that directly addressed the issues I was having. He said, if possible, to return for the software update. About 45 minutes later it was done and I can feel a difference in the performance. In my opinion, Dave went above and beyond in not only finding the TSB but calling me back and having the software update done on the same day. Talk about customer service! I also had the pleasure of meeting service advisor Larisa Racenis. She was very understanding re the issues with the Highlander and was genuinely happy because a solution was found. Ironically, while waiting for the adjustment I did an internet search for the problem and discovered Consumer Reports addressed this exact problem in their April issue including the TSB numbers for both the Highlander and Sienna. I could not be more happy with Smithtown Toyota and Toyota in general for addressing a performance issue. Thanks, Anthony More

We were able to test drive two cars to help us decide and our sales associate Meghan was very helpful in answering all our questions. When we picked up our van we also had a pleasant experience with Tom when we picked up touch up paint at the parts department. We would highly recommend this dealership for a satisfying car buying experience! More

What a Gentleman, Professional, Courteous just a great guy who works so hard at making you happy. Louis sat with me in depth to explain my options at a no rush pace and actually listened to what I had to say. This was the next best sales representative I could have asked for next to Tim Payton. Every Employee in that Dealership is kind professional and courteous and makes you feel at Home. When I had a decision to make and needed help I spoke with Stacy Meehan Finance Director who I also know for 11 years and as usual was great in taking the time to sit in her office and discuss options to help me make the right decision.
