Went in for an oil change, came out with a broken hood latch and broken hood cable. Had to go to another dealership to have it fixed since Smithtown Toyota told me that a car hood latched only with the em latch and broken hood cable. Had to go to another dealership to have it fixed since Smithtown Toyota told me that a car hood latched only with the emergency hook was safe to drive and wouldn't be able to see me for almost a week. Both the Service Department and the Customer Relations department contacted me following this incident. Both said the hatch breaking was due to 'wear and tear' and that the cable was not broken (even though neither had seen the car in person before the repair was completed). I was offered a free oil change...less than 10% monetary value of the repair bill I just paid. Also, why would I return for an oil change when an oil change was the reason I suddenly had a huge repair? More

I came to this dealership to have my car serviced and I must say the welcome I received from Larisa was very warm and gracious. She was so kind and helpful and extended herself to make sure I received top quality service. Larisa made me feel very valued and I felt confident that my experience there would be a satisfying one. I am looking forward to referring other people to this dealership. Larisa makes Smithtown Toyota a very nice place to do business with. Respectfully, Bonnie R. More

Car Wash I recieved a free complimentary car wash from Kia today, I was told to drive down to Toyota dealership to have it done. Handed the attendant my tick I recieved a free complimentary car wash from Kia today, I was told to drive down to Toyota dealership to have it done. Handed the attendant my ticket and walked to the exit to wait. After my car gets out from the wash , the attendant forces my door mirrors open. The mirrors are powered, he barely speaks English mumbles sorry and smiles. Thank God the mirror aren't not broken. I get into my car and notice the center console open and the stuff in my doors all messed up. This guy went through my stuff. I drove back to Kia and let them know about this. I will never go back for a wash ever again. That's what you get for a "complimentary wash" I also warned the women who was waiting for her car as well. More

Both times the car was barley any cleaner then when it went it, also really strict times to get the car washed. I scheduled for my free yearly detail which I had to ask about. They didn’t remind me or offer it. Then they said I have to leave my car there the entire day M-F. So impossible for a regular working person. They transferred me to a manger to ask for a loaner car since I had to leave it there all day & still get to work. I was told they don’t loan cars for free details. This “free” stuff just seems like a way to get you to buy the car and really they are making it impossible for a full time working person to receive these “benefits”. I wouldn’t mind if they worked with me but they were not helpful. Im not sure why I wouldn’t be offered a loaner car if they need to take the entire day to clean my car. I’m very disappointed. The sales department was great but the service has just been awful. More
