We tried to buy a vehicle on Sunday and the dealership would only take a non refundable $3,000 deposit and we needed to pay in cash. They wanted "green" cash. We asked about a cashier check and they woul would only take a non refundable $3,000 deposit and we needed to pay in cash. They wanted "green" cash. We asked about a cashier check and they wouldn't take it. The next day the vehicle we were buying was sold to someone else. So on Tuesday when my money transferred from my bank I went in to purchase and put down a $5000 cash down-payment and get a cashiers check the next day to buy the other vehicle that we didn't want. No negotiations were accepted and we were forced to buy lojack. At this point we just wanted a vehicle so we purchased it with new sales people and they allowed us to put a $500 deposit down and use a cashiers check. Now it is 2 weeks later and we don't have lojack installed. And they need to set up an appointment to get lojack installed that we didn't even want. I want my money back! Why do dealerships have to be such a terrible experience? Update on lojack - they claim I the customer didn't give them an email. Only the finance person has access. 2 hours later they will update the system. Nice wasted day. More
