My husband & I wanted to, both, be on the lease. But only my name was added to the lease agreement. I understand it was because my credit score was good and thus the salesperson didn't think we need But only my name was added to the lease agreement. I understand it was because my credit score was good and thus the salesperson didn't think we needed a co-lessee. But that wasn't his decision to make. The next day, I called South Bay Hyundai and was transferred to Juan - who was very rude when I tried to explain my situation. Once he realized I needed to speak with Terry Kim, he (still rude) transferred me back to the receptionist. Terry Kim said that because the lease was already funded, he couldn't do anything about it. I called Hyundai Financial myself and they confirmed that the dealership could, if they wanted, cancel and re-submit the lease application. I was advised by Hyundai Financial that my credit would be re-checked, which I was completely okay with. Terry Kim/South Bay Hyundai said that wasn't possible. Whether this was an actual possibility or not, Terry failed to add both names on the lease when ALL information was given from the beginning. Hence my disappointment. I will not be recommending nor going back to South Bay Hyundai. More

When things go as planned it's easy to a stellar dealership and have a stellar repair department. But when things go wrong and continue to go wrong but your team does not give up, that's when we rea dealership and have a stellar repair department. But when things go wrong and continue to go wrong but your team does not give up, that's when we really see what you're made of. My driver's side window was stuck and after working on the car 4 different times, replacing several different parts, and new motors almost every time, your team did not give up. It looks like they finally solved the problem that no one had ever seen before. That's the mark of a great business. That's the mark of a great dealership. And I have to give a big shout out to Jack Kim. He never lost his composure and he never lost his commitment. Great job everyone, and especially Jack. More

I am incredibly disappointed with the service and subsequent customer support I received from this dealership. I had my 2024 Hyundai Tucson serviced here on July 10, 2025. When I later took my vehicl subsequent customer support I received from this dealership. I had my 2024 Hyundai Tucson serviced here on July 10, 2025. When I later took my vehicle to an independent shop for an oil change, they could not complete the service because the oil filter cap was tightened so excessively that removing it risked breakage. They also discovered that bolts were missing from the skid plate. I attempted to resolve these safety hazards directly with the dealership multiple times. I received automated text messages assuring me that my concerns were being "prioritized" and that someone would contact me "as soon as possible". Despite these written assurances, no one from the dealership ever reached out to address their negligence. Due to their complete lack of response, I escalated the issue to Hyundai Motor America and opened Case #42004285. Even the corporate case manager informed me that she struggled to contact the dealership, stating it took them about a month to finally respond to her inquiries. On January 22, 2026, I was finally given an answer, only to be told that the dealership would not replace the missing bolts. Their justification was that since the service occurred over six months ago, "anything could have happened between that time". It is entirely hypocritical for them to use the passage of time as a loophole to avoid accountability, especially when the delay was caused directly by their own refusal to communicate with both me and their corporate office. I strongly advise avoiding this dealership if you expect competent vehicle maintenance and basic customer service. More
