A huge thank you to Andrew, our salesperson, for being knowledgeable, patient, and completely pressure-free throughout the entire process. He made everything easy and answered every question we had. Ameer, the sales manager, worked with us on the numbers and made the negotiation process smooth and straightforward. We never felt like we were playing games, and he genuinely worked with us to put together a deal that fit our budget. A special shoutout to Leslie in finance as well. She took the time to explain all of our options, helped us customize the protection plans to what actually made sense for us, and made the paperwork quick and painless. Tracy and Joseph were nice to work with. They worked hard at finding the right vehicle. However, after going over the sales receipt, I noticed a charge for something we did not want. We said no to the SWDS . We were charged $2,022 for it. We told Joseph and Tracy specifically that the car is kept in the garage and we did not want it. I also have a question about EG Theft deterrent for $500. Neither the sales or finance department brought this to our attention. I would like those charges taken off. Thank you.

Sales team is dishonest and after negotiating the price on a car, and telling them I wouldn't be paying for the optional accessories, they never took them off the price and ended up sneaking a maintenance contract into the loan even when I told them I would not be paying extra for any additional maintenance or warranty packages. I had an appalling experience with salesperson Aymen Abdulateef at Hyundai Huntington Beach, though Finance Manager Erik Mora stepped in and completely turned the situation around. From the start, I explicitly told Aymen I had no interest in dealer add-ons. Despite this, he attempted to pack over $10,000 worth of forced add-ons into the price he quoted me. When I asked him to explain mathematically how he calculated the monthly payment, he refused to break down the numbers and condescendingly told me he knew because "he said so." When I asked to speak with Finance Manager Erik Mora, Aymen repeatedly lied, claiming no one by that name worked there, and even called me "crazy" for asking—a lie that fell apart seconds later when Erik himself walked up to see what was happening. Once Erik took over, the experience changed completely. Erik was professional, transparent, and genuinely looked out for my best interests. He went out of his way to call the bank directly, secured a much better financing structure, and managed to lower my monthly payment by $50 while removing the unnecessary extras. Aymen showed a complete lack of integrity, transparency, and basic courtesy—avoid working with him at all costs. However, if you do end up at this location, demand to work with Erik Mora in Finance. He is a true professional who actually respects his customers and gets results.

I had my car serviced (oil change and tire rotation) on November 2nd and was told my brake pads were both at 5mm and wouldn’t need to be replaced for at least another few months. Today (11/29), my brakes started grinding, so I took my car to Pep Boys only to find that my brake pads were both at 2 and 3 mm. I find it hard to believe that in less than a month I shaved off over 2 mm, and I believe I was deceived by the mechanics in order to rack up a higher eventual cost of repair. I spent $488 at Pep Boys to replace both front brake pads, both front rotors (those were also destroyed and no note was made on my service documentation from Hyundai), and get new brake fluid. At the Hyundai dealership, I was quoted $475. I am so disappointed with the service I received, and if I had known my pads were this bad I could’ve gotten my brake pads replaced sooner without damaging the rotors. However, I’m sure the goal was for me to take it back to them when the rotors and pads wore out so they could charge me extra for their gross negligence and deception. SO scummy.

Service in July that was not done properly. Found out because car almost died last Saturday and was able to barely drive to Downey Hyundai. Downey Hyundai had car for four days when they called that car needed Coolant Flush. I authorized service and later that evening check my paperwork from work done by Sage Hyundai in July. I had a coolant flush! I called Downey Hyundai to not have service preformed because i had coolant flush done in July, but Downey Hyundai informed me that that was impossible because it was half full and dirty. I contacted Sage Hyundai and left message for the Service Director, Ara, who never called me back. I called again and left message, but not call back. I called four times today (Saturday) to speak to the service director and i just got transferred from person to person. Called again and left on hold for over 17 minutes. I called again with call transferred which rang for 45 times. If I would have been given at least a free oil change, I would have been happy, but all I got was being ignored by everyone that worked at Sage. I will NEVER go back to this dealer again. I have had other problems with them taking hours just for oil changes. I miss the old management which got you in and out.

In January 2026 I dropped off my 2018 Hyundai Elantra for a manufacturer paint campaign. My car was in perfect working order. They kept it for 159 days — more than five times the 30-day legal limit under California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. During five and a half months I received no proactive updates, my calls went unreturned for weeks, and when I tried to reach the General Manager I was pointed to the wrong person and allowed to believe he was in charge. I only discovered the actual General Manager — Cooper Mugg — by researching their website myself. When I retrieved my car, Assistant Service Manager John Ragan acknowledged a mechanical problem documented in their own service report and attempted to charge me $250 to diagnose it — a problem that developed while my car was in their exclusive custody. I declined and took the car. Within two hours it was stalling at every intersection. My son was a passenger. I returned the car the same day. John Ragan's response was "not my problem." He refused to take any action without payment — even knowing the car was stalling at intersections with a passenger aboard. I sent a formal legal demand letter. General Manager Cooper Mugg's own response confirmed the car had no problems at drop-off — directly establishing that everything that went wrong happened under their watch. Their response? Employee pricing on repairs for damage that occurred during their custody. No warranty. No acknowledgment of responsibility. Their service department made three attempts to address this — none genuine. First a $250 charge attempt. Second a promised inspection with video documentation that never happened. Third a "free diagnostic" attached to an inadequate settlement after a legal demand letter. Complaints filed with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, NHTSA, the BBB, and the California DMV. Multiple media outlets contacted. Do not bring your car here for service. 159 days. Stalling at intersections. "Not my problem." You deserve better.
