I took my car in for regular maintenance on 1/24/22 . Also, my automatic key for driver's side door is not working, I have to lock it manually with the key. While I was there I thought I would get estimate for the repair. My service advisor was Nicole Nelson. I mentioned it to Nicole and asked for estimate. Nicole called me later and said the estimate was $747.48. I told Nicole I will think about it and not going to repair it at this time. I picked up my car during my lunch break and I was in a rush. So I did not look at the receipt and just paid the bill. I have been bringing my car in here for 10+ years and trusted this place. When I finally looked at the receipt and realized that I was charged $180 diagnosis fee for my door, I was shocked. I called Nicole and left message. She did not return my call. After calling for two days, I finally got hold of Nicole and I mentioned to her about how disappointed I am and she should have told me about the fee upfront. She said sorry we charge diagnosis fee when getting estimate. I am not upset about charging diagnosis fee. Different places do things differently. What I am really upset is Nicole did not tell me that there is $180 diagnosis fee to get the estimate. She should have communicated it to me upfront. If I knew there is a $180 fee, I would not have asked her to proceed with the estimate. That is a lot of money. I am very disappointed that I was charged $180 fee that I was not made aware. That was not right. I have lost my trust in this place. I was treated very unfairly. More
Nicole and everyone else at South Bay Hyundai were very helpful! When I emailed, initially, Nicole called me the next morning. When I brought my car in they listened to me and worked with me to find the helpful! When I emailed, initially, Nicole called me the next morning. wish the service would inform client in deeper details the why and the hows of the recalls. I asked Kim to help me install my contacts as I had a glitz and lost all my numbers but he never explained to me the why and the hows of the recalls.
