I am not usually one to write a review and this is actually the first review I have ever written but wanted to share my experience. I was looking on Autotrader one day when I came across a really actually the first review I have ever written but wanted to share my experience. I was looking on Autotrader one day when I came across a really good deal on a 2023 Ram 1500. I immediately reached out to the dealership to inquire and get some information on the truck. When I first made contact with the dealership, I was connected with a salesperson named Elijah. After trading texts back and forth regarding the truck, I was provided a proposal that also included my trade in and the exact amount I would be financing. The cost fell perfectly in to my budget. I informed the salesperson that I lived over 3 hours out of state but wanted to schedule an appointment to look at the truck. My wife and I took off work the following day in order to make this work. The salesperson informed me that as long as the truck didnt sell that night, he would place a hold on the vehicle so that I could come look at. I scheduled an appointment at 2pm to look at the vehicle. The day I was supposed to look at the truck, my wife and I hit the road and were a little over an hour and a half away when I received a call from the dealership stating that the vehicle was currently on a test drive with a customer and they were looking to buy. I had told sales manager Brandon on the phone that I was told and had text messages stating that they were going to hold the vehicle for me so that I could see it. I was then told that is "not their usual process" and they do not place holds on vehicles. At this point, instead of informing the couple there that they had already made an arrangement with a customer with an appointment to see the vehicle, I was directed to try and find a new one. Obviously based on price and the specific vehicle I was looking at, they did not have anything else that matched. My wife and I missed time off work and wasted gas with the expectation that this dealership was going to hold true to their word that it was being held for me. I am extremely disappointed. Easily the worst experience I have had with a dealership. Unfortunately with the timing and distance, I do not believe after today anything else will be done to make the situation right. More
