When approached we offered up a value of the vehicle based upon the age and mileage of the vehicle only. Upon inspection of the vehicle it was determined that there was damage present on the interior tire well of the trunk from a rear end collision. The vehicle also has a negative car fax and is could not be sold as a Certified Acura vehicle, and certainly not worth the average book value for a model of that year and mileage. In fairness and response to your review, I did make a commitment to honor a purchase of the vehicle, but a price that was fair to the market condition of your vehicle based upon wholesale prices. Just to clarify, the initial response given to me was NOT offered upon just the age and mileage when I was there. I had gone in person and there were people who had already gone through a full inspection of the vehicle. It was only until I wanted to raise the price that the salesman and inspectors said they couldn't because of the dent on the interior tire well, meaning they were ok with 1600 price..until days later when their minds were changed. However, I do appreciate that Robert Avison had tried to make amends later by apologizing and offering to purchase the car (at a lower rate, of course) to put out for auction when I contacted him (Though I did not take him up on the offer since I had sold the car already at a higher price than he offered).

I certainly understand how you are upset and I genuinely want to make this situation right for you. As this incident occurred back in February of this year, some time has past and you have already purchased another vehicle. This makes trying recover this purchase very difficult. Also, we have several managers that are part of our sales team, and none of the other members had an opportunity to correct the situation when it occurred. I strongly believe that it was an incident of misunderstanding, we would never allow one of our valued customers to be treated this way. LIES, LIES, and more LIES. This is a follow up to my initial review. I was contacted by the Client Service Manager at the dealership after I posted this review. He claimed to be horrified by the treatment I received, apologized and explained how they were reviewing their continued employment of Nick the sales manager. He further committed to send me a check for the $100 I spent on cab fare to get home after they tried to hose me. He further promised that they would cut me an incredible deal on an MDX if I ever wanted to buy one. I asked for a price since I was not happy with the size of the Infiniti I purchased when the backed out of the MDX sale. A few days later, he called me back and said he was sending me a check. But, he was not sure what else he could do. I repeated that I wanted to by an MDX ASAP and that they could show me a price. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I NEVER RECEIVED THE CHECK FOR THE CAB FARE.
