Normal Service Advisor was out for the week. Have had preventative maintenance work on this vehicle almost exclusively at this dealer. I personally follow the script as outlined in the vehicle's maintena preventative maintenance work on this vehicle almost exclusively at this dealer. I personally follow the script as outlined in the vehicle's maintenance manual and take the time to create a document that spells out each required action step. As in the past, I made a request, (In Writing) that the oil used within this Tacoma be synthetic oil. I even brought in a dealer coupon that declared special pricing for a synthetic oil change. While at home, I reviewed the dealer's work order and discovered that they used Toyota 5W 30 oil and not the Mobil 1 5W30 that was used in the past. Not a good effort on the part of this dealership, I sense that my desire to stay on top of the maintenance requirements as outlined in my list specifically prepared for the 80,000 mile maintenance schedule was ignored in total. I'll now try to determine what consequence lies ahead when switching oil types, from synthetic oil to conventional motor oil. More
