Selling a car out from under someone does not stand by their statement of "Stamford Ford is unlike those dealerships that only focus on the bottom line." Stamford Ford had a used car I was looking for and after talking to the salesperson I set up to come see the car Monday morning. I live about 4.5hrs from the dealership and although I discussed the car more with the salesperson that morning while I was on my way, 1.5hrs from the dealership he informed me that the car had been sold while I was driving to the dealership. I was told that sorry their policy was first come first serve, which would have been great information to know before I started the journey. I did not expect this service, practice, or response from a dealership at this level. More
